The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Ok, so I got my PS4 on Monday and still haven't hooked it up yet, it's still in the Box..lol. I'm going to buy a game today and I am undecided on which games to get since, it's not that many games out for the PS4 yet.. Usually I would jump on NBA 2k14, but since we are a couple of months away for 2k15, I might as well wait. So, I have it boiled down to 2 games, which are, "Infamous second Son" and "Call of Duty: ghost" Which one wold you get and why? I could get both games, but I don't want to spend too much money today. I've never had a call of duty game, but from looking at videos and reviews, it looks fun. ISS looks good as well. If you could choose 1 game, which one would you choose? By the way, I'm a casual gamer, so I'm not to big on online play, but i'm open to it down the line. Thanks in ad*****..

If you're not much of an online player then I'd probably get ISS.. you also mentioned you've never played a COD game, it might be fun if you've never experienced it before and online is always solid.. especially if you're new to the online MP and the series itself.

Another thing.. 2K15 is probably more than a couple months away so if you want that game it's something to consider.

inFamous will give you a feel of what this current gen has to offer, Ghosts will not. Get inFamous now and if you really want to try CoD, just hold off. Same as 2K15, we're only a few months away from CoD 2015 (*working title).

How is Call of duty when you play alone on the story mode?

Oh wow, I think I will lead to ISS, it does look fun..

The campaign is decent, nothing ground breaking though. CoD just tacks on a campaign the same way many developers tack on MP i.e. Assassin's Creed, BioShock etc.

Carver made a good point though, if you're new to CoD, you might really enjoy it. You can always get into a match and the servers are rarely an issue like some of the other FPS out now

edit: CoD drops every November since 2007

Play BF4's campaign and then tell me COD's in tacked on.

6 hours to beat BF's on the hardest difficulty. On easy I could run through in just over 4 hours. I've seen it speed run on hard in 2.5 hours.

I don't think CoD is terrible, there just isn't anything about it that stands out

Man blops 2 campaigne was nice. :pimp:
lol that was only one I didn't like at all.

That was only time I didnt finish campaign before going to full time multiplayer. Didn't even go back to finish campaign until after I beat ghost and forgot I never finished blops2 lol.

MW2 and BO1 were my favorites. MW2 sucked me into this series.

Guys, question. Any games you have gotten free through PS+ that may have hooked you on the series that had you not gotten it for free, you may not have ever known about?

Hitman for me. Ive never played a Hitman, nor have I ever had the desire to. It came to PS+ so I grabbed it. Will most definitely be buying the new one coming out for PS4. Just alot of fun. Add it with how the trophies are laid out with making you try different methods, and it got me. Still havent beat it, but I really enjoyed it.

Having the first episode of Walking Dead got me to buy the rest.

Too many indie titles to name.

I liked Ghosts campaign....it was my first CoD too though and I didn't play/see others campaign mode to be able to compare

Yea Im having a lot of fun with MGS, after I beat a side mission Ill go back and watch someone S rank it. It trips me out how one side mission can take me 30+ min and then I watch someone beat it in less than 5

I think I've downloaded every game that PS+ has to offer since August 2013 and have yet to beat any of them. I played KoA for about 2 hours, BioShock Infinte 1/3 thru, Borderlands 2 made it to a boss and kept getting smashed

I haven't even tried...

GriD 2

Dragon's Dogma

Hitman

Tomb Raider

LBP Kart Racing

Just good to know that they are there whenever I want to try something new

Ditto on The Walking Dead. I've never been a fan of point-and-click games, but I watched the whole playthrough because some friends kept talking about how good it was. I actually enjoyed the story in the game more than the TV show.

Even though I already knew the story, I still downloaded episode 1 when it was on PS- and it got me hooked. I got the disc version of the entire season brand new for cheap and I've played through the first 4 episodes. I'll probably finish it soon. When the entire second season is out, I'll more than likely buy it.

Just off the top of my head DMC and Lego Marvel. I played a couple of the Lego games demos but Lego Marvel made me purchase the game and an extra dualshock 4 to smash with friends and fam.
