I can't speak for all games, but on initial d I could play online using my US psn id. As far as dlc I'm 99% sure that's region locked. I remember trying to get the DLC free cars and the metal trash can for Trash Panic, but couldn't because I didn't have a Jpn account at the time.

I have a question tho.....are psn cards region locked? Can I add funds to my jpn wallet with a US card?

I know first hand that those are region locked due to to psn cards are bought with different currencies.

Like you said Sony isn't putting out motion games. Microsoft tried to push Kinnect on everyone and that failed in a big way. They pissed off Harmonix, one of the few devs working on a motion focused game, when they announced the the Kinnectless xbone. And now they release their latest motion game with zero fanfare. So even if motion gaming is better this gen, it doesn't matter. No one is asking for it. Now, with Sony way out ahead of MS, the chances of motion control being relevant are next to none.

What motion games are on the horizon? There was one party game by Ubisoft at E3 this year. What else?

I'm enjoying titanfall. It's not a system seller like Forza Horizon 2 is, but I think it's the best mp-only shooter out right now.

I still need to crack open my copy of Destiny to determine if that's still the case.
