Dissidia Final Fantasy announced for arcades

View media item 1401361
The new arcade game teased by Square Enix late last month is Dissidia Final Fantasy, the publisher announced at the Japan Amusement Expo in Chiba today.

The game uses a three-versus-three battle system different from its predecessors, and has evolved visuals in comparison. Y’Shtola from Final Fantasy XIV will be playable, but characters from Final Fantasy XV have not been confirmed. The Onion Knight (Final Fantasy III), Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI), Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII), and Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) are also playable.

Square Enix will hold a presentation on April 10 where it will presumably share more information. The Warrior of Light pictured in the key visual below is said to be an in-game model, rather than CG.

Yea, I need to go pick up Driveclub ASAP. It's time.
It is Time.

The NT club is dead. I'm the only one there still playing it so I might create a new one for the newcomers or find a way to be the owner so I can kick people out. I hope my XP follows me since we're at level 25 at the moment.

Actually I am not saying that they weren't broken. But the fact that they were choppy reinforced their insecurities in regards to the free version taking away from the sales of the retail version. So I would say that it was 'exaggerated'

But this is pure speculation on my part . But either way it is FEB 13th and it is still nowhere to be found.

You do know them releasing the PS+ is a good thing. You only get 11 cars and tracks in india. It only gives you a taste of the game but there are over 10 million PS+ subscribers so you can be sure many will upgrade to the full game.
That was the whole point.

Speaking of TRC requirements, I just learned this week that you can't day 1 patch a demo on the Xbone or PS4. Both Sony and Microsoft have rules in place against it. Which means a certain demo is in trouble. :rolleyes

Sucks but Dissidia is releasing so all is forgiven.

Console release?

That took...5 years right? Cause Cartoon Network would get to a certain episode and start with the Sayian saga all over again
I think so. I remember it restarting 3 times before it got to the buu saga.

Back then, when I learned that DBZ came out in Japan 7 years before hitting the states, I was heated.

are these randomly generated platformers and dungeon type games new to this gen?

the unbinding of issac sold me on copping

im interested to play this rogue legacy too

fresh take on a nostalgic genre

"Rougelikes" have been around since the 80's but saw a resurgence in the early 00's when indie devs started pumping them out like crazy. They finally have been ported to consoles this console gen I believe, although there might have been a few titles last console gen.

Binding of Isaac is great. Spelunky is another really fun one. Risk of Rain is probably my favorite; think it's coming out on Vita soon.

You won't be disappointed. One of my top 5 games of 2014. Even got all the achievements, which is something I rarely do.
Yeah man I almost copped for the Wii U but once I seen it was coming to PS4 I held off. That music was :pimp:

I remember finding out about the international channel. I saw one episode on there and it was when Goku caught Cell with the Instant-Transmission Kamehameha :smh: . I didn't know what they was saying but :pimp:

My mexican buddy was telling me he'd watch dbz in spanish when he'd go to mexico.

It felt like he went to the future, because the spanish version was further along than the usa dubs.

Kids from our generation grew up knowing that struggle and became subbers so these kids don't have to suffer. This is truly a great age.

Time for random video game trivia folks!

Can you guess who's birthday it is today?

Yup, it's Ken Masters's Birthday today. He's 50 years old. I must say, he looks fantastic for someone of his age.

I remember it seemed like every time I would go to mex to visit fam, I'd be able to catch a dbz movie :smokin

My Dying Light review if anyone is interested. It's a little long, so I'll post the tl:dr.

Final Thoughts

Dying Light  may not be for everyone; especially those fatigued from open world and zombie games, but there’s no denying its ambition, despite the minor problems that it suffers from. Establishing an exceptional and flexible parkour system into an open world game is always a great idea, but implementing it into a world populated with zombies is tremendous. The possibilities to cause mayhem and slaughter are only limited by your imagination; every encounter is dynamic, with the ability to carve out new routes through Harran on the fly. Frankly, it would be very difficult for me to revert back to a zombie game without this level of freedom. I wouldn’t go as far as calling Dying Light  revolutionary, but it definitely revitalizes a stagnant genre with some new tricks, which I’m positive will be emulated by contemporary developers in the following years.

What I played:

•    Completed 100% of the campaign in 30 hours. Both alone and in co-op.
•    Completed 70% of the side quests.

Rating:
4/5
