Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Ships 1 Million Worldwide


I can't tell if SE will be happy though.

They're happy with units shipped but still unhappy with sell-through. In the end the Type-0 portion made money overall.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade developed by Team Ninja, uses PS4 as core system

The new Dissidia Final Fantasy announced for arcades in February is being developed by Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja using PlayStation 4 as its core system, Square Enix announced at its Dissidia Final Fantasy Closed Conference today.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan president Atsushi Morita took the stage during the event, adding that he wants to bring the game to home consoles and is in discussions with Square Enix to do so. But Square Enix producer Ichiro Hazama said that the game will be arcade-exclusive for at least one year before it’s ported.

The game’s arcade cabinet was revealed. It uses twin sticks with the four PlayStation buttons for movement and actions. A live demonstration was given on stage, running on PlayStation 4 hardware at 60 frames per second.

The arcade hardware is basically a modified PS4 and SCE japan is also lending a hand so it'll be exclusive to PS4 on consoles but the console version won't be out till at least 2016.

It will have 50 characters too.

 Our driving game line-up is really lacking, Driveclub is awesome and all, but I don't see it as a game I can play a lot like GT.
I think PS4 really needs an exclusive like Forza Horizon 2, that game is easily the best driving game out atm, Driveclub with its awesome visuals, is really all it is, lack of car choice, awful multiplayer, mediocre handling just pull it down. But dont get me wrong it is fun (maybe because it is the only driving game out there, dont even mention the crew XD).

Driveclub was all about playing with friends and connection, but FH2 does that way better. So a game like FH2 with its awesome car line up, really in-depth tuning and fun gameplay, would really be great.

What do you guys think, and does anyone know of any upcoming or rumoured titles?

Just beat Shadow of Mordor last night and I can't decide between Dying Light or Bloodborne. Any input/suggestions?

Bloodborne. I haven't played Dying Light but I hear it's only fun if you play co-op. Bloodborne on the other hand is single handedly saving this console generation

Yeah everything he said. Dying Light is cool just for achievement points or thropies in this case. Bloodborne is a lovely challenging game.

Yeah you're wilding lol Dying Light is a good rental. If you haven't played get The last of Us instead of Dying light being you said you might get both games. Or look into Far Cry 4, both those titles you can get on sale

Evolution is really the only first person studio that would/could do it. They would have to really make a jump from Driveclub though.

- Polyphony takes enough time on GT, they can't split that team up

- London, but they are working on Morpheus games

- XDEV, but I doubt that a "AAA" racing game could be nurtured at an indy studio

Seriously though, it'd be cool for PS4 to have a game similar to Horizon but I don't think they neccessarily need one. I'd probably just stick with Horizon anyway. They already perfected that style of game imo. All I could really ask for is more areas.

The Witcher looks really good. I'd like to pick it up day one but games like that usually require a few updates to work out the millions of bugs it'll launch with. I'm going to focus on the backlog first and keep my eye on this one.

edit: I just remembered I'll be playing FF X-2 HD on PS4, probably pick this up later in the year unless I can get thru FF X-2 quick

Final Fantays Type-0 HD has shipped 1 million copies worldwide, Square Enix announced today. Additionally, the company has announced that a new Active Time Report presentation will be held on April 28th at 3 pm in Japan.
