PS4K Not Being Announced At E3 2016, Reveal Set For Paris Games Week 2016: Insider Report


Rumors about a new, 4K version of PlayStation 4 have been around for a while, and many think of it being announced at E3 2016 in June. Today we have a pretty bad news for you guys, since according to well informed insider Shinobi602 PS4K or Neo, as you wish, is not set for an announcement before Paris Games Week.

"I've heard that Sony will announce the PS4 Neo at Paris Games Week. This made sense to me because the supposed upgrades are coming in what, October? I would have said this publicly if I was 100% sure, but it's just what I was told," Shinobi602 said during a podcast as reported by Geeksultd.

Paris Games Week 2016 is opening on October 27 and ending on October 31, which is pretty late in comparison with the latest rumors pointing at an October simultaneous release with PlayStation VR.


Should Shinobi be right, PS4K would launch in late November and represent Sony's effort to win the Holiday Season all over again.


An announcement at Paris Games Week would also mean Sony not considering, just like it happened last year, August's Gamescom the best place where to share such big news. Your opinion about this?

PS4 Neo to launch before October, says French distributor
UPDATE: Distributor retracts statement; denies knowledge about the launch of PS4K.

ORIGINAL STORY: Sony's upgraded PS4 console, reportedly codenamed Neo, will release before October, according to French video games distributor Innelec Multimedia.

The release window was reportedly mentioned in a press release announcing Innelec's FY16 earnings results, where it states that an "evolution" of Sony's PS4 console, which it refers to as "Neo 4K", will arrive during the first half of its current financial year.

Innelec's financial year runs from April 2016-March 2017, suggesting the console will arrive at some point between now and the end of September 2016. It was rumoured yesterday that the console could be revealed at TGS this September, alongside the Nintendo NX.

Innelec's press release doesn't seem to be available on its website, but parts of it have been reproduced on stocks website Boursier.com, suggesting it's legit. It's also been uploaded by French blog otaxou.fr.

Sony has yet to announce an upgraded PS4 console, although rumours point to new hardware featuring an improved GPU, CPU and memory. PS4 games will also allegedly be required to be 'Neo-ready' from October.

I asked b4 but got no answer, do the treasures carry over or I have to find them all in one play through ? I fee like I missed a lot on certain chapters

I belive you have to collect them on one playthrough. I usually get about 50% without trying. This time I only managed to get like 20%

^No you can go back and collect them, even on lower difficulty

No wonder why I had such a hard time playing BB and half way through DS3, I wasn't locking on my targets. It makes dodging attacks and countering 100x easier and bombs and arrows actually hit their target. BB/Souls just got a lot easier for me, surprised I made it this far without it.
