The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

So my Type-0 HD is in Dallas, 2.5 hours away. It still says delivery is scheduled for Tuesday but I would too pumped if it comes tomorrow :smokin

Did you get the CE or just the normal one?

Thinking of cancelling my CE. The normal one is about £45 cheaper.

That golden steelbook though.
I had to get the CE. I think I've bought every CE/LE Final Fantasy since I was 16, starting with FF XII. I even bought the CE for original FF XIV for PC even though I had no PC nor any intentions of playing it. I don't have FF XIII CE because it only released in EU/JP I believe.

I agree with your views on Bloodborne. The pacing of the game is what stands out to me, especially when comparing it to DkSouls. I'm more excited for this game than I thought I'd be.

Funny enough FFXIII was one I couldn't get the CE for as well, but I changed that with XIII-2 which I was really happy with.
I'm also looking to get the CE for XIV when i get time to play the game.

I'm going all out for XV when that comes out.

so i always thought to myself...

"why do they even make 4 bundles for the game, going up to 150 bucks...who would do that?"

then i heard about fallout.

don't even care how much it is.

Amazon had FF XIII CE imported for about $150 and I said I'd get it one day but I'm not sure. I read it doesn't really come with much. FF XV CE better come with a soundtrack, art book and a Noctis figure  I'm definitely copping that as soon as preorders go live.

^Take with a grain of salt, BDB. Getting the 404 error when clicking the image.

If true, I'll get MLB The Show '15 and BloodBorne.

Here's the original post with the pic:

So it will only apply to NOP games (aka, games that were already on clearance essentially)?

I really enjoy my VIta, even if I don't play it that much. It has a really good library of games...Dragon's Crown is good, Persona 4 Golden like you said, Uncharted Golden Abyss is better than the original uncharted, tearaway...not to mention the number of cross-buy, cross-save games for ps4/vita that automatically upload your saves so you can pick up where you left off on either system (Fez-another good game, Rogue legacy, Helldivers- i also believe is cross-save)

But yes, the memory prices are terrible.

Vita's support is not great but it's prefect for what you're after. Japanese games and Indie games. It's doing well in Japan so it's getting support there and it's indie support is fantastic, especially with PS+ and cross play.
You're right. It's already profitable.

Repped. Thanks guys. I bought it and have been playing around for the last week. Got Final Fantasy X-X2 HD, Sound shapes, and Hotline Miami. Dropped 100 bucks for a 60G memory card imported from Japan. Works perfect.

Finally playing my first Final Fantasy game. Never had the patience before I guess. About 3 hours in, and I am really enjoying it. Game is downright gorgeous. I can tell I haven't even scratched the surface. Just learned how magic works.

Soundshapes its perfect for this type of system. Definitely necessary to use headphones. Looks like I can download user levels so I can play them on the train with no internet if need be.

I haven't tried hotline miami yet, been playing FF the most. I'm annoyed that I can't move around the camera with the right stick. that's the only thing that upset me.

The following games peaked my interest when looking.

Persona 4 Golden
Tearaway
LBP Vita
Thomas was alone
Luftrausers
Danganropa
Stealth Inc.
Fez
Rogue Legacy
Velocity 2X
The walking dead
Limbo
Grim Fandango
Suikoden 1 and 2

Guacameele (Wii u or Vita)
Child of Light (Wii u or Vita)

Really wanted valiant hearts but I do not see it. But this is plentyyyyyyyy enough for me to justify a purchase.

Some negatives-

Still getting used to holding it. I think the DS XL and Wii U gamepad may be more comfortable. I haven't decided. All handhelds are someone uncomfortable if you use it too long.

The memory really is expensive. I'm gonna buy physical games if it's an option mostly. but 60G should last me. I doubt I will get near filling that. Figured it's best to drop the money now and basically never think about it again.

Really my only crucial complaint is the severe lack of PS2 games. I read there is some technical reason for that. But I really wish I could play SSX, NBA Street, Onimusha, Crash/Spyro etc.

^ I forgot about Guacamelee...that is probably VIta's best game after P4G.

And yea...I totally agree about it being a little cramped...my hands are OD big, and it bordered on uncomfortable for long play sessions...

I know it seems stupid to make a handheld bigger but look at the Nyko Power Grips...I have it and my Vita hardly ever comes out of it...Yea, it makes the vita look like a batarang, but It makes the Vita feel like holding a dual shock and it doubles the battery life.

Thats interesting. Never heard of that before. I wouldn't even say that i have big hands though. Maybe i do compared to the average japanese person though, i guess its possible.

I know ive said it before but its so true... now i can finally afford any type of game and system i want but i barely have time to play lol. Such a catch 22

Hey quick question. With the Playstation Plus Free Games can you only download the 2 games that are listed this month or can you also download games from previous months? This would be for PS3.

Yeah it'd be nice if Sony allowed you to change that. I think GwG allows you to go back and get it for free huh?

Thanks. No I don't think you can with GwG either. Just got my PS3 back up and getting back into the swing of things.

If target come through on that sale I'm finna cop Gta for half off hold on to it for 2 weeks un opened and trade it in for MKX.

Won't work.

They'll refund you what you paid.

IIRC, people wanted to do the same thing when target was doing that buy 2 get 1.

No receipt when they ask me when I bought I'll say last night. Then I'll just ask for a exact exchange or a store credit and use it towards the game. Done this before it works. If Gta is on sale that week then I'm screwed cause they would give me the sale price for the return.
