Just watched ign unboxing ps4 .. Was like the millionth unboxing I done watched for the ps4 lol I wish dude would of powered it up and showed the UI

Our UI is lacking compared to the xbone
I kinda agree... The xbone is starting to remind me of the samsung galaxies with all these gimmicks and flashy stuff that you might never use.. It just looks cool...
But ps4 over here looking like Apple with the simple UI that just works as intended lol

I have a samsung galaxy s3 and despise the iphone but I get what he's saying since most people consider the iphone's UI "simple and easy to use" compared to android's.

Not really sure how I feel about it, it's def better than the XMB - although it still retains some of the XMB feel, but don't see anything 'awe - inspiring' either. I wish Sony would take a lil dive with a next gen type of UI too. I understand simply, fluid and functional is easier, but you can still make a beautiful design with great transition simply, fluid and functional. I was at least hoping it looked far better than Xbox One UI, which is nice, but just a shadow of Metro UI. Then again, Sony has never been known for their great UI. Call it nitpicking, but as a graphic designer, I expect better things from a company who builds on design like Sony.
Hopefully we can change the background color like we could on PS3, or have an animated background or something, idk

Good comparison.
And I agree that the Xbox One's UI looks better.
But functionality is the most important thing to me, so I'm happy as long as it runs smooth with minimal bugs.

Nothing wrong with either interface (Android/Apple) just 2 different directions. One offers what the other wishes they had more of imo. iPhone users (me included) wish we had more customizable options and some Android users wish things were more fluid and simple. Wish Sony had found that intermediary with the PS4 UI tho

I think Im going to purchase KZ, COD:Ghosts or 2K/AC:BF tomorrow @ Target. Haven't decided on the last one...

Problem is figuring out which free game we should get.
Killzone looks like buns to me as with almost all the ps4 launch titles.
