The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Curious as to how Target will handle Sunday. I'll be out of town now but hoping it's still possible to get launch games early next week with the deal.

as long as they have them in stock you'll be good .. deal runs until the 16th

I'm confused is target selling games that have a release date after the 10th on Sunday ? Example is bf4??

I really hope so, because if that's not the case.. the games i wan't to grab won't be out till friday, and that means i have to go deal with the madness

I too will have the same audio setup.. Want some astros though...

Lol TVs have anywhere from 15-90ms input lag.. Monitors have 1ms-20ms... To me input lag and servers work together and the perfect example for me is when I watch comp CoD..

Ie.. You play on a TV and wireless controller and you get killed but you swore you were in cover.. Or you see the enemy and swore you got your shot off first...

Then watch comp CoD.. You see 1-2ms input lag monitors(benq) and wired(scufs).. Reducing the input lag even more.. Plus they plan on LAN.. So you don't see the warriors and people eating bullets nor people dying and screaming they were behind cover...

If you play FPS were input lag is everything shorten the lag by using a monitor and wired controller.. For everything else a TV and wireless are good...
Competitive CoD >>> I watched and I didn't even play or like CoD

In other news got this response from GS about my online order

Thank you for contacting Gamestop.com.

As long as your information matches what is on file with your financial institution, your order should process correctly and your item will be received on the release date.

Also I'll be going to pick up 2K today so I won't have to worry about getting games release day, just plug in and play

If you get physical copies of the games, is there a way its connected to your PSN account so you can play them from a different PS4? Or do you have to download the digital copy from PSN to do that.

Lol at input lag on modern LCDs.

We are talking milliseconds here man.

Some TVs do process the image before displaying which create a delay or audio sync issues but those TVs also have a "gaming mode" where it doesnt process the image.
ive always felt imput lag is a joke. sounds like an excuse people use for sucking. "awww man! i would killed that guy if it wasnt for this imput lag

if only i had another 0.02 seconds i definitely would have lived."

Toys R Us will be running a similar deal starting Sunday. Buy 2 get $25 gift card. Buy 3 get $50 gift card. They are including accessories in the deal too, ie., camera, DS4, etc.

I didn't notice input lag on my tv until i hooked up my computer to it. Scrolling around with the mouse, you can really feel and see the difference. Damn near unplayable with starcraft 2.

Interesting note from someone who went to their local GS:

Here in Indiana, the Sunday event before Thursday night seems more mandatory. According to my Friends there (seven-year manager, two employees), they are going to start reaching out to everyone with the deposit down this week to encourage them to pay off their consoles by the event Sunday (where they are staying open later). He said that the area Gamestops are to reallocate consoles and games to areas with higher demand, and these Sunday events (and the week leading up) are factoring into how items are regionally shifted around. They never said they are going to drop people's pre-orders or delay them if they don't pay them off before Thursday, but I do think they are doing this to get people to either 100% confirm or move their deposit elsewhere.
