Word, I'm not lying about the Microsoft call. If you check the unemployed thread in one of the last pages I also mention where I work. And if I was lying just to rustle jimmies .. Don't you think it'd be smarter to do it you know, over in the Xbox thread? Lol
 



HUGE difference from next gen to current gen. The lighting and graphical depth alone is LEAGUES better.

Thank god I didn't plan on playing the BF4 on PS3, than turn around a week later and play it on PS4, waste of money.

I think another gap IGN sneaked in is the PS4 version vs. Xbox One, the PS4 looks MUCH better (which we knew already).

Sometime ago hip hop gamer alluded to something called the year of the 4.

Supposedly sony studios will be coming out with god of war 4, uncharted 4, etc.
Hence, year of the "4."

He implied that it's some marketing campaign or something.

It's a rumor so...

Every week for the better part of a year Hiphopgamer would do this show. They'd normally be about 45 minutes long with him essentially talking about nothing. But with each show, he'd give it an outlandish title that's begging for hits. Titles that would look like huge news if true.

For example he'd name a show something like 'TITANFALL IS A XBOX EXCLUSIVE, IS SONY LOOKING TO BUY BATTLEFIELD?'

Next week 'GOD OF WAR 4 COMING OUT MARCH 2014'

Week after that 'ARE MICROSOFT AND NINTENDO ABOUT TO JOIN FORCES AGAINST SONY?'

He'd make up all of this and you wouldn't know it was a Hiphopgamer Show until you clicked on it. He never labeled it under the rumor or speculation tabs, but under the news tab. You have to get a certain amount of approvals to get a story on N4G. He'd just have a whole bunch of his boys approve each story :lol:

He would also predict generic things(Kratos in Soul Caliber, etc) that sometimes came true and then act like he was some kind of prophet. This went on every. single. week. It was worst on N4g.com, where he'd normally post these shows. Alot of people didn't like the 'HipHop' culture either and you had the usual racial slurs stereotypes being thrown at him.

Long story short, everybody got tired of him and started actual petitions to ban him from the site. Then there was a massive down voting of his site by everyone on N4G that eventually caused his site to be banned from N4G

What made it worse was the fact that he was constantly at all the game shows, regularly interviewing A list people in the game industry. Gave the impression that he was legit, but nah :lol:

Don't take anything he says seriously, at all.

Going to see if I can dig up some of his old stuff in the morning.

Edit: This is a show March entitled "Xbox 720 to feature A.I with Kinnect 2.0 Plus God Of War PS4 Capabilities explored" :lol: Dude is just full of crap

The current gen is actually pretty impressive, at least the interior shots. It's rougher at the construction yard.

Yea the next gen versions don't really blow the current gen out of the water in that video. When you compare nba 2k14 current gen and next gen, you can clearly see there are MAJOR differences. Still gonna cop bf4 though.

I like hiphopgamer since he's unique, unlike most gaming journalism ppl, which are generic and at times lame as hell.

what are your guys' opinions of various gaming sites?

ign: I'll watch their reviews if I feel like I need to watch a quick review before I impulse buy a game.

gamespot: only found out about them from misspelling gamestop.com.

classicgameroom: he's so corny that he's cool

gametrailers: there reviews are the best imo.

rev3: only watch when adam is hosting
 
I think I may just sell my ps3 since chances are, once I get my ps4 I wont ever touch it again. Decisions decisions.

REV3 IS THE ONLY ONE I MESS WITH.

I NEVER HEARD OF HIPHOPGAMER UNTIL THE POST IN THIS THREAD. I WATCHED THAT VIDEO OF THE RANT HE HAD AND I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE WITH HIM. I'VE BEEN THINKING THE SAME ON MANY TOPICS ABOUT THE INDUSTRY IN GENERAL FOR A WHILE NOW. THERE IS SOME SERIOUS RAMPANT RACISM GOING ON. BUT I GUESS IT IS WHAT IT IS.
 
lol I like classic game room...Mark is a funny guy...he's more for retrogamers. Yeah, he does review the current gen games...but I look at him more as a retrogamer review.
