The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I really am leaning towards the PS4 for next gen. Just debating if I want to try to get it on release for games such as 2k14, madden, Assassin's creed or just wait until summer of next year.

Lol @ SONY giving the Gamestop managers free consoles. That's such a Microsoft move. Fighting fire with fire lol. Gotta respect it. It's a savvy move for real though. Gamestop managers are FOREVER trying to convince people to buy stuff they like. They're usually some of the biggest fanboys out.

We never got love like that when I was a manager... :frown:

About to ask every one of them if theyre trying to let go of 2k or any game they don't plan on playing

GS managers are always trying to get me to buy a XBOX360 but that changed after E3 when the manager @ my local GS said he was switching.

^ was afraid you was going to say that. I wonder if it's a downloadable code though for each game

Titanfall: Developer Interview Shows Possible PS3/PS4 Dev-kit?
Read more at http://gamingbolt.com/titanfall-dev...s-possible-ps3ps4-dev-kit#MA77Vqu2QH0kZtP7.99

My prediction is Titfanfall will come to PS4 after 6 months it's released next spring on Xbone first.

No way a small start up dev like respawn is going to survive by just staying exclusive to Microsoft. Even with all the dirty money Microsoft is throwing at them.

EA loves to milk games they publish and will want to cash in on the PS4 install base especially if by next spring PS4 is out selling Xbone.

Who was crying over Titanfall? It legitimately looks good. I would buy it if it came to PS4. Definitely not crying over it.

You're forgetting Zoo Tycoon. THAT'S what we're all jealous of.

Nah I'm jealous because we aren't getting The Fighter Within.

But oh yeah Killzone Shadow Fall pre orders is current out selling Xbone biggest launch titles: Ryse & Forza 5.

But hey who's counting right :D

Sony Bringing Dozens Of Playable Games To PAX

Sony's also giving away 500 PlayStation 4 Passports each day, which are described as being "your key to winning awesome PlayStation prizes," including games. They're calling it a passport, so PAX attendees will likely get it stamped when they play various games in Sony's booth. Media Molecule will also be giving out four different Tearaway badges that visitors can collect at the PlayStation booth. Amazon will be giving away T-shirts for people who preorder games that are being shown, too.

Finally, Sony's rounded up an impressive group of panelists, who will be speaking about The Last of Us' development, how Seattle has influenced Infamous: Second Son, and on the subject of gender diversity in games. Here's Sony's breakdown of each of those panels, including locations and times (Pacific)

tropes. In particular, most female characters continue to be portrayed in notoriously unrealistic terms both in their appearance and personality, progressing at a slower pace than their male videogame counterparts. Our panel of esteemed developers, writers, and journalists will examine why this continues to be the case, and the challenges facing developers and the videogame market in developing and marketing realistic female characters.

Wait a minute. Did I read that right? Infamous: Second Son will be playable for people who go to PAX? I don't think that game has even been playable for attendees at any of the previous events. :wow:

The PS4 thread kinda of reminds me of the OG PS3 thread, the hate and trash talking was IMMENSE. You could cut it with a butter knife :wow: the golden era of PS3 x NT.

EA: We don't deliver offline experiences any more

Electronic Arts is moving away from offline games, COO Peter Moore has told Engadget in a new interview from Gamescom.

"We're seeing more and more of the online experience being part-and-parcel of every game. We don't ship a game at EA that is offline; just doesn't happen," Moore said.

Moore explained that gamers want to be connected for a variety of purposes, including keeping tabs on in-game statistics and achievements, as well as playing online multiplayer.

"So yeah, we don't deliver offline experiences any more."

Also in the interview, Moore said free-to-play options will be coming to every major EA franchise in the time ahead.

"The ability for you to be able to interact with those franchises on a free-to-play basis is going to be part-and-parcel with every major franchise we do now," Moore said. "And that's very important to Electronic Arts."

GS managers are also getting an XB1. They didn't say how many games, though.
they get both? If anything they should have the option to choose one or the other, not get both and seven games a piece. If theyre working there how are they going to have time to play that many games smh

Probably just gonna get Killzone on launch. Not interested in any other launch titles for PS4.

I'll be buying all of the multi platform FPS's for Xbox One on launch.
