i feel bad for sony being crushed by a machine with more "features" and a better gpu that couldnt even outsell it while being available a year earlier for 200 dollars less

poor sony, they better watch out this gen otherwise this soul crusher will crush them again with their 50% market share

You do realize that they will be live streaming at Gamescon all week, will have the largest presence there, and a week later will have a huge presence at PAX.

Let's keep it 2 hunna. The PS3 helped Blu-ray more than the inverse. Brand loyalty is what made certain people OK with DRM and rationalize forced peripherals. Brand loyalty is $100 more with a weaker architecture.

theyre not cowards?  they get another chance at the big stage to present their machine in a positive light and they dont want it?  why dont't these dudes want to talk about how powerful their gpu is?  why didnt they stick to their original "vision" instead of flip flopping?

i thought we were keeping it "1hunna" ?  

ill stay keeping it "1hunna", sony and those other guys are both cowards for not wanting to talk about their CPUs

****, Sony as a whole (entire company) was investing in Blu-Ray defeating HD-DVD. They threw millions away making sure they won. MS barely helped HD-DVD. PS3 got sales because people wanted a Blu-Ray player and PS3 was the best option. Wasn't like people were buying the PS3 and then thinking, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, Blu-Ray is amazing, lemme start a collection" :lol:

I think you meant to say "specs".

The extra $100 is Kinect. We can argue whether or not it is worth the extra $100, but stop acting like people are just getting the console for $500

So I'm a Sony guy but as I look more and more it feels like Xbox one is able to do everything play station canbut has some other features available. Nt help me see the light I have a ps4 per-order but I'm not sure about what it does that Xbox can't do

The pay aspect has changed and is consistent on both now so what is the difference

I know what you mean. Ask yourself are you really going to bypass a console with better games(my opinion) just so you can say xbox on? You can Skype on your computer. At the end of the day you have to ask yourself why you want one over the other. For me it's the free games and better games.
 
word. i cant stand halo or gears anymore. and those are really the only exclusives tying people to xbox. xbox live was better than psn, but i expect now that psn will charge just like xbl.... the experience will dramatically improve. And with the migration of users FROM xbox to psn, competition will rise on the playstation. the main arguments for why xbl was better was competition and parties. competition should balance out now, and parties have been added. this should be great.

OK. So you knew what I meant. I never claimed to be an expert on hardware.

I never said no one bought the PS3 as a Blu-ray player, but at the same time, the PS3 helped Blu-ray in the format wars. I know people personally, (including myself) who back then would of never bought a standalone BD player and bought the PS3 for games and eventually bought BD movies because why not? The same way people who bought the PS2 as a games machine used it as their first device to play DVD movies.

You can't have brand loyalty on one side and not the other is all I'm saying. Whatever though. I can't tell if you are messing with people or if you're being serious or not anymore.
