Titanfall may come to PS4 after all
Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall has been the talk of E3 as the former Call of Duty developer revealed its next big thing. Titanfall is a multiplayer only online shooter that mixes mechs with human combat.

Titanfall will release on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC exclusively when it launches early 2014. After an interview with Gametrailers TV’s very own Geoff Keighley, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella made a statement that may suggest the game will come to the PlayStation 4 after all. Is Titanfall only a ‘timed exclusive’ on the Xbox and Windows platform?

When Keighly asked Zampella if ‘the PlayStation nation has to wait for Titanfall too?’, Zampella answered with ‘that’s right’. Keighley poked a bit further asking if Titnalfall will come to other platforms in the future the Respawn CEO smirked a bit and commented that ‘the studio is focusing to make the game the most fun it can be at launch’.

The conversation can be seen below in the new episode of GTTV just before the 3 minute mark.

Xbox fans be like...
Why would xbox fans be like michelle?

I think that it's pretty clear that most next gen exclusives are only "exclusives" because m$ or sony paid them to make it that way.

I could be wrong.

People love to hold this odd sense of pride for knowing that the console they bought has more exclusives than the direct competition/has obtained one of their direct competition's exclusive as a multiplatform title. I don't know why anyone would truly care, or why Xbox fans would be as disappointed as Michelle is in that gif since they're getting the game anyway. Likewise with people not feeling that KH3 ended up being on Xbox One as well. As long as I'm buying a PS4, I don't care what the Xbox One does/doesn't get. I just want PS4 to be laced with fire. :smokin

I may be in the minority, but I prefer third party games. I live on FIFA, GTA, COD etc. While I play games like Metal Gear Solid (not sure if the new one is a PS4 exclusive). 90% of exclusives I never end up playing. Every once in awhile you get a deal breaker like Halo 2 for the original Xbox, but most exclusives are empty bragging rights for fanboys IMO. These exclusives so far that have been announced arent dealbreakers for me yet.

Here is how I look at exclusive games and games in general when it comes to consoles.

First off I've never owned a Xbox, Xbox 360, and don't have any plans in the future to buy a Xbox One.It's mainly because Microsoft ever since the beginning has always lacked variety in their exclusive games.Their biggest exclusive game franchises are first person shooters (Halo & Gears Of war). Outside of those type of games they don't have 1st party titles in genres like platformers, action adventure, or 3rd person shooters.Sure they have a great racing title with the Forza game franchise but that alone isn't enough for me to justify buying a console from Microsoft.

The whole thing about being a multiple console owner and having both a Xbox 360 & PS3 or PS4 & Xbox One IMHO is really dumb and a waste of time & money.People really use it as a status symbol showing that they have the money to burn to have both.

Yea, um, that gif was a joke. Maybe not every Xbox fan on this site but I had friends offline trying to convince me that this game was a good enough reason to get the console. You're right, some people like to take pride in that and I get it. They spend money and want to feel like they're getting the most. That's why everyone in this thread was excited after E3. Fortunately I don't take an odd sense of pride for exclusives because I don't care for any of them, lol

Same here. I've never completed a Sony exclusive outside of Resistance and that's because my homeboy asked me to play when it first launched. If it ain't Madden or Need For Speed it's not a must. Buy I will be getting FIFA(for the first time) and NBA Live.

The reason I'm excited about exclusives is not because of the quantity but the quality.

There are tons of indie games coming out on the PS4 but from the PS2 we've seen what some of Sony's devs have brought out when they rinse out the console's capabilities. This current gen they've strengthened their worldwide studios purchasing studios like Media Molecule and Sucker Punch.
We know the PS4 is much powerful than XBone. Exclusives games will let us see that.

I'm not expecting there to be that much difference in the multiplatform titles at the beginning of next gen. Later on we might see the PS4 titles looking better or having better framerate and resolution but it's the exclusives that will set the standard and this time round there's no cell or exotic architecture to get in the way.

We already had many exclusives on the PS3 this year,Last of Us GOWA and we've still got Puppeteer and Beyond etc and these are just the first party stuff. All these devs will be moving onto PS4 and we've all seen what they can do.

Gears of War is actually a 3rd person shooting game, not a fps.

I sold my 360 a few years back in favor of having access to classic PlayStation franchises again (had a PS1 and PS2), but objectively I can say that I'm pretty sure that Microsoft has released at least one solid exclusive in each genre you've mentioned. They just don't seem to be doing so on a regular basis or the ones they release seem to get good reviews, but do modestly sales-wise so we never hear too much about them.

You and I both.. some people buy consoles just for exclusives!

I just play mostly third party games..I'd never buying a console for just one game.

I just personally feel the PS4 is a stronger system spec wise, a 100$ less.. pretty easy decision
laugh.gif
and little things like M$ still using batteries for their controller
mean.gif
.. and I wasn't down with the Kinect always having to be on even though I'd never use it.. and I feel like PS+ is actually more worth the subscription.. since they be giving out games up the yingyang

PS4 Release Date Rumored to Leak Ahead of the Xbox One

The competition between Sony and Microsoft with their PS 4 and Xbox One consoles respectively is yet a hot happening. An early launch of the PlayStation 4 could well be expected as a fall out of this competition to get customers latched on to their device before the other does the same.

A retail partner of Sony covering the European region, NeoGaf have let out the probable early release strategy from Sony by posting a poster of the PlayStation 4 which had the early release date mentioned on it. Sony had forbidden the display of this poster by all its retailers.

As per the poster, release date of the PlayStation 4 has been mentioned as 13 November. The Xbox is to be released on the 27th of November. That gives Sony, if the release date is to be believed, a full two weeks of head start before the Xbox.

The game is not yet over as neither Sony, nor Microsoft has come up with any official release date announcements as yet. Microsoft has the precedence of effecting last minute change like it did with the policy on usage of used games as well as the need for continuous internet connection on their consoles. Likewise, an earlier than the expected November 27 release date cannot be ruled out either.

The retailer who gave out the food for this fight has also not confirmed anything. What can however be concluded safely is that in the US, the PS4 would have either an early or a late release.

Ardent gamers would sure be keeping their eyes and ear open and up to get more information for they are the first burst of customers who make a difference in the sales of the gadgets and gives importance to the launch timing of the device.

Is it a release day game?

I also wonder if Grand Theft Auto 5 will be available on PS4's PS Store day one. Probably wishful thinking though.

Nah Infamous Second Son isn't a launch title and won't be out until Quarter 1 2014.

R* already confirmed GTA V won't be coming out or ported to the next gen consoles.

I actually really enjoyed my experience with Xbox 360. It didn't have as many 'over the top' exclusives as PS3 but I personally found a few that I absolutely loved.

Forza, Blue Dragon, Lost Oddessy, Tales of Vesparia, and Splinter Cell Conviction. I LOVE Splinter Cell . And that multiplayer was :pimp:

But yes, I agree that Xbox has in know way matched the magnitude of PS3's exclusives. Never once on Xbox have I set back and looked at the screen like.....

I have a release day Xbone reserved but not sure what I will do with it. Probably re-sell it. No way I am paying for PS+ & Live

So there will not be PS3 titles on the PS4 Store? Like we have PS2 titles on PS3's Store?

Sounds like different architecture issues... Reason why the first thing they are doing with Gaiko (?) is to get PS3 games up and running in the US early 2014, then move backwards from there.

Well damn. I mean I am fine with it. I have invested so much into my PS3 and planned on keeping it anyway.
