The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Was at my local EB Games yesterday. Three times more PS4's (124) pre-ordered than XB1's (41). Manager expects that to change now that Microsoft has reversed alot of their policies... but that's alot of ground to make up.
 
i mean, im not into games like Final Fantasy but i can atleast say that ive played FF7. :rolleyes

And I wasn't able to get a THING. :lol: The contest wasn't open to Canadian residents, but I would still have been about 5 times short for the amount of golds needed.

There is a rumor that Sony is kicking around ideas for rewards for trophies on PS4... but we'll see.

I just got to level 9. To be fair I had to start over tho. And I was splitting time between ps3 and 360. Sleeping Dogs would have been my first plat. But I played it on 360 :smh:

this. from 2007-2010 i only had 360 so i got a late start on ps3 trophy's. I racked up over 20,000 gamer score between my 2 GT's on XBL though, so i think i would probably be around 16-17 on PSN trophys now
 
I'm level 14 with 17 plats, 85 golds. Have a few games that I'm just short one or two trophies, just to lazy to in the work. Especially since I'm trying to play current titles
 
I know I'm late but when did retailers stop selling individual PS3's? Everything's bundled and Amazon is selling the 160GB for like $300+

This has been my plan for a minute with GTA V.

I'm gonna do the same thing for Arkham Origins and maybe TLOU.

I have a slew games I haven't finished (in terms of Platinuming) or even played yet (like MGS IV :lol: :smh:) so I have no problem waiting.
 
PS4's 'GPU Is A Beast'


Warframe developer praises PS4 hardware and unified memory




Warframe creative director Steve Sinclair has confirmed that the free to play multiplayer title will allow cross-platform play between PS4 and PC players.


Speaking to Gamingbolt, Sinclair stated that: "Our Goal is cross-platform play. Our goal is updating the PS4 version in sync with the PC version with all the same content, features and events."


Given that Planetside 2, another free to play PC shooter coming to PS4, will facilitate character transfer, but not cross-platform play, this could be something of an advantage for Warframe.


Sinclair was also keen to stress that the PS4 version will be no means be an inferior version of its PC counterpart. "The GPU is a beast," said Sinclair, "and the game looks stellar running on the PS4!"


"The unified memory is part of what makes this console so great to develop on," Sinclair continues. "You can use threads to generate textures and graphics assets. You can use the GPU to process Physics and effects data."


Warframe will be available for the PS4 at release and Sinclair also confirms that new factions, new mission types and new events will be rolled out to coincide with the PS4 release.


PC players need not worry though; they will be getting that content as well.


Sinclair was also asked how he felt about similarities to Xbox One exclusive Titanfall and while he accepted that the game is competition, he pointed out that Warframe's focus on PvE and Co-op makes the two games distinctly different.

Yea. I have Infamous 1 and 2, Sly 3, Dishonored, Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3, Hitman, Tales of Xillia, Max Payne, Demon Soul's, Just Cause 2, and a ton of PSN titles to play/beat/platinum. That, plus Diablo 3 and FF XIV in less than a month. :smh: :nthat:

Following earlier news that Xbox One's DVR feature requires users to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold, fans took to Twitter to ask PlayStation if this would be the case on PlayStation 4, to which president of SCE's worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida said, definitively, "no" repeatedly.

The features will be available for everyone on day one. Does this make it more appealing to you?

Thanks for the info.

Info about the new consoles has opened my eyes to how crappy m$'s gaming platform(360) actually is.

I tried the ps3 in 08, but the 360 has just way better.

Now I'm learning about ps+, sony's online policy, drm, etc.

Just makes me think, damn I should have kept my ps3 for a litte longer.

Its like Sony is only charging you a fee for PS+ just to get free games and play games that have multiplayer online. Everything else is pretty much free. :lol:
