The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I like the maps. The fact that I was rubber banding for the entire hour I played was infuriating.

The assignments are okay, the new equipment is OP (if you can get a helicopter in your area), and the new mode is pretty fun.

I hardly play the DLC on BF4, I think its stupid that you can't mix the standard maps with DLC maps. Probably won't play this one either, I suck in boats and defintely can't kill anything with a chopper

, your whole bowing thing was a blitzblall dap back in Tidus' day.  Still love the game though.

That expert sphere grid is frustrating though, im sitting on like 8-9 pts for some dudes because i dont have any ability spheres to claim osmething before moving on.

Praise be to Ye.

Played MGS for about an hour last night; game is fun so far. I never played any of the previous MGS titles for more than an hour or two, I didn't like the controls

I was on edge about buying because it was said to be short but IMO most of those people doing spped runs are just running through to complete it. They're not exploring, doing the side quests, etc. I think Ill probably be able to get at least 5 hours out of it which isnt bad considering most campaigns are on average 8 hours
The general consensus is that GZ is a great demo.

The completionists on that site spent 6 1/2 hours completing everything that that game had to offer.

I imagine you are just after Luca?

You get a couple abilities that are new to North American players (I think were in the International version of X, but they are now in this HD collection). You can get them on weapons or find them on the sphere grid. I believe Wakka gets his first. It's called Ability Distill or something along those lines. You get one for every type of sphere, but the ability one is the most useful at the beginning. If you arent close on Wakka sphere grid, go on the Djose highroad and fight dualfangs. You get Ability Spheres from them.

I grinded for about an hour to get enough so Wakka go learn the ability distill ability. Then just have him use it on each enemy you fight and you'll get an ability sphere when you finish the fight.

As for religious overtones, Lightning Returns makes this game look like an Atheist's Peace.

Yeah you can tell from playing that if you attempt to get the most out of this game then you can easily get 5+ hours
You can say that about all games.

AC4, you could easily get 100+ hours of gameplay, but would it still be fun?

Most likely not, since you'd have to be a completionist to endure 100+ hours of AC.

On the doing(things that can be done in games) scale (minimum<--->maximum), I don't think a lot of people are in the maxiumum range.

Given how many other games are out there.

But I also think that there are games that said people would want to try to 100% complete.

For me, those games are the infamous collection, spyro, and tekken.

I have a confession related FF 10, I never got into blitzball. :\

Its hard to, especially at the start because your team is so terrible.

Unless you're a good, experienced player, it's best to just play through a league season, trying to up everyones experience; not worrying about wins and losses. Then as you go through the game, sign different players and see who fits. Once you get a few new faces, and a season or two under your belt, it starts to get alot easier. It basically turns into Tidus Jecht shotting until you're up 6 goals.

Yes that is true. Obviously if you think a game is boring then you aren't going to complete it, may not even finish it. I'm fine with GZ being short since I enjoyed it and find it to be fun.

It's not even worth worrying about blitzball until post game IMO

Yeah, definitely a bit unfair to call it a 'short' game.  After finishing the main mission, you're only 9% through.

been a minute since i played a baseball game, so ill most likely be super trash
laugh.gif
but i might just grab the show

so in the xbox thread they talking about the xb1
it seems u cant play madden without being connected online
as well as titanfall is useless without a connection
