The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

The ps3 had the best exclusives that were also the best looking of last gen.

This is indisputable.

This is coming for someone who has owned a ps3 for 1 month and a half.

I have a hard enough time trying to stick with a game until I beat it. Having the option for 2-3 at the same time? Id lose it.

I was playing Dead Rising 3 snapped with The Walking Dead last night and that was a :wow: experience. ONLY topped by me going to work earlier this week and actually remote playing from the office :smokin

Yea you are, you're slurping up and it's 100% unnecessary. It's common knowledge most games looked better last gen on the X360 so that comment was false. Outside of that even die-hard PS users will tell you the UI and online services from Sony never matched watch M$ had to offer last gen. I get your enthusiasm specifically since you seem to have JUST purchased your PS3, but don't undercut the Xbox as if Sony's system was far superior and it was some sort of unknown secret. I had both systems (even purchased the PS3 twice since the first one got stolen from me) from the jump last gen and my PS3 CONSTANTLY collected dust. Sure games like the Last of Us, Uncharted and GoW made owning the PS3 a must, but outside of that it was fair game.

Now as I type this, I am currently remote playing 2K on my Vita while watching TV on the X1 with Dead Rising on suspend in the background... THAT IS WHAT I CALL NEXT GEN

slurping I simply stated my opinion bro. I never said the PS3's UI was better. I said the 360's og dashboard was doo foo when it first came out which it was and it came a long way. No where did I say the online experience was better either all I said was the games were better. As far as Sony being superior it was superior as far as games IMO, but if you talk about online that was different.

PS4 outsells Xbox One, Knack outsells Super Mario 3D World
Sony's PlayStation 4 is the fastest-selling console in UK history, according to official sales figures.

Chart-Track said PS4 beat the eight-year record held by Sony's PlayStation Portable, which launched in 2005 to the tune of 185,000 sales. PS4 beat Xbox One, which launched on 22nd November, and its predecessor PlayStation 3.

Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Ghosts returns to the top of the software chart. FIFA 14 drops to second "despite strong sales on PS4", Chart-Track said.

Battlefield 4 is in at third. The best-selling PS4 exclusive was Killzone Shadow Fall, which debuted in fourth place - a position boosted by Guerrilla Games' shooter's place in official bundles.

Assassin's Creed 4 drops one place to five. Lego Marvel Super Heroes holds fast in sixth. GTA 5 jumps to seventh. Sales of the PS4 version of Need for Speed: Rivals help Ghost Games' racer speed into eighth. Just Dance 2014 is ninth, and rounding out the top 10 is Batman: Arkham Oranges.

PS4 exclusive Knack debuts at 13 ahead of Super Mario 3D World on Wii U at 14. Yes, Knack sold more than Mario.

Sony’s PS4 is officially the fastest selling console in UK history.
Gfk Chart-Track has confirmed that the machine has beaten PSP’s eight year-old sales record of 180k units sold in its first week. Xbox One sold 150k units in its first week. (Note that in both instances ‘week’ refers to Chart-Track’s sales week, which ends Saturdays – so most console’s ‘week one’ sales actually spans 48 hours). The exact number of PS4s sold in the UK was not revealed, although MCV understands that the figure is not just higher than PSP’s 180k, but significantly so.

The highest charting PS4 exclusive is Sony’s Killzone Shadow Fall at No.4 followed by Knack in 13th. Platform fans note that Sony’s critically slammed effort beats Nintendo’s critically adulated Super Mario 3D World into 14th, suggesting the Japanese struggles of Nintendo’s game could be repeated on this side of the globe – although you’d of course expect the Wii U game to have better legs.

There’s a slight shuffle at the top of the Top 40 with Call of Duty: Ghosts seemingly benefiting most from the PS4’s arrival, climbing one place to No.1 at the expense of FIFA 14 which drops to No.3. Battlefield 4 holds firm at No.3.

Of EA’s football game Chart-Track notes: “After being heavily boosted by the Xbox One Day 1 Edition bundles last week, FIFA 14 has to settle for second place in the All Formats Chart despite strong sales on PS4.”

Xbox One exclusives Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3 drop out of the Top Ten to 15th and 18th respectively.

PS4 sold over 250k in the UK
Over 250k PS4 consoles were sold in the UK in the machine’s first 48 hours on sale.

Retail sources have confirmed the extent of PS4’s tremendous performance to MCV following Chart-Track’s confirmation this morning that PS4 is the UK’s fastest selling console ever.

I'm not shocked about PS4 outselling the Xbox One, that was a given, but Knack ousting Mario... mind... is... BLOWN.

Skip to the 5:23 mark in the video. Apparently MS is paying GameStop to have their employees wear Xbox shirts. :smh: If true

Not true, they were giving out Xbox One shirts at the Midnight Launch (GS if you asked) and it was completely optional for employee's to wear the shirts. M$ supplied x2 shirts for every console per-ordered to each location. One of my close friends is a store manager at GS.

Oh ok. I had hoped it wasn't true but I could believe it if it was

Playing AC4: Black Flag is about as exciting as watching paint dry. GAME IS ******G TERRIBLE AND REPETITIVE.

Stuck on Sequence 8 with the pirate ship battles, I haven't upgraded **** on Jackdaw and I'm having a hard time beating this Sequence. The story is mad boring as well.

Ubisoft needs to bury the AC series for good, it's hot trash.

How you expect a game that comes out yearly to be "good?"

Well, if you haven't upgraded, you can't expect to beat sequence 8.

Your opinion, though.

Sounds like you hate the game because it's frustrating for you.

That's my point, I haven't upgraded anything cause searching and scrapping for materials in this game is boring to me. The ship battles were fun for like the first 10 mins then got old quick. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

Real talk. Knack is alright. It has legit put a smile on my face. It's also really frustrating at times because I think the enemies, even on normal, can be like playing God of War on Titan mode.

It's definitely no Mario though. Nintendo makes the hardware they want to make and not what the market is asking for. I don't think as many people as Nintendo thought wanted to use a tablet as a controller. There's a reason why people who play games get nice TV's. The Wii outsold the 360 and PS3, but I don't think they were used anywhere near as much. Plus the Wii also appealed to a different demographic. People who don't typical play games saw the novelty and lower price point and it paid off for them big.

Tatsunoku vs. Capcom should of been a 360/PS3 game. :smh:
