When you guys are done playing do you put it on standby mode or do you just use turn it off?

I only have put in a little time in killzone but my initial impressions are:
Environments are beautiful
Character models aren't as impressive
Small details like dust particles in the air are a new feature on the new consoles
Small feature but noticeable- picked up an audio file. Plays log thru my controller instead of tv. Added a different experience.

My only issue is connecting to BF multiplayer. I am signed into PSN but I keep being told that I have to be connected to the network to play online.

Anyone else had to deal with this and how did you fix it?

I had this issue last night. I quit the game, closed the application. Went online and logged into my origin account with the email I got from amazon. Then started the game again on the ps4 and it worked.

The 720p vs. 1080p isn't that big of a deal to me.
720p looks good. 
1080p looks great...sometimes. It also depends on what you're watching.
I've hardly heard "I can't watch this this, it's in 720p."
720p gets the job done while 1080p is that luxury resolution.
If that makes sense.

1080p should be the standard now. 4K is luxury

So I have FIFA, NBA 2K and COD reserved for XBOX One so what games should i get for PS4? Got Killzone coming in today and I'm about to run to target and see what they have in stock. Prolly gonna try and get Battlefield but not sure what else to get.

Ghost is fine many people will talk crap about it to fit in with people who love Battlefield. They will say it's the same game over and over which it is, but it's an FPS how creative can they get? Add building destruction, bigger maps, vehicles, and it's Battlefield. 2K is the same game every year as well yet everyone including me loves it. You know why? It's a basketball game can't get any more advanced foreal than it already is.

All electronics have their malfunctions. Can't be worried about purchasing something that you think won't work.

Why cant I? If im spending $400+ on something, why shouldnt i be concerned when i see droves of people saying their system isnt working? I can see if this was a HISENSE or WESTINGHOUSE console..........but this is Sony.

I cant remember ever seeing this many people receiving a device DOA..........Console or not.

A few things....

1. In general, people with issues are the noisiest on the internet, meaning those with no issues don't say a word because they're happily gaming. It may appear like tons of people have bricked PS4s, but the reality is that the DOA consoles make up a tiny percentage of the overall amount of PS4s out there.

2. Every new generation console has issues out the gate. And they continue to have issues throughout their lifespan...that's just electronics in general though.

3. Social media and the internet in general--that's why the numbers of faulty consoles seems high. I'm willing to bet that just as many people had issues with the PS3, 360, PS2, etc. You just didn't hear about it because Twitter and Instagram weren't around, and Facebook was in its infancy when the last gen consoles dropped. Also, the internet loves a scandal or ____gate. Tech sites are going to take the stories of a handful of people with bad launch day PS4 experiences and run with them to create "news".

I wouldn't hesitate to buy one now. The odds that you'll receive a faulty unit are pretty low. But if you do, simply return it. And that goes for all electronics.

Yea that was pretty sweet.

I played Killzone last night. I suck at FPS but it was pretty fun, the Owl is dope.

My roommate has BF, gonna try to play that later.

I just wasn't impressed with Ghosts graphically like with BF.

And idk, was playing 2K last night and felt in a few situations the AI could be better, example when the computer had a 13 point lead with 10 seconds to go and they don't just dribble out the clock, it'd be cool to see that and more animations at the end of games like that.

To those wondering if next gen Madden is exactly like current gen.....its not. In videos yes it does look the same. But after playing it it definitely has some improvements and differences. Players feel more planted now so no more just swerving around with RBs in the open field or usering DBs just running around with no risk/consequences. They actually make you slow down and cut to change directions. I see more pockets being formed and sometimes it makes you step up. Other times there is no pocket. Also zones seem to play a little better now and DBs jump/sit down on routes like outs more often than current gen. Presentation and commentary all seem to be the same as current gen with better graphics. Now rather thats worth $60 to you is another thing only you can decide. I'm enjoying it personally.

killzone looks and plays amazing. smoother gameplay and controls. im liking the touchpad integration a lot

nba 2k14 is frustating cuz im an old school live player back when it was still good and that was a loooong time ago lol

glad they implemented the cross party chat like in ms. im prob not gonna use it as much cus i barely did in the 360.

live streaming is awesome. watched justreason play 2k with his durag on, hilarious. watched boost try playing 2k and cod, hes trash like always lol

and the web browser is lightning fast
