The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

So uhh, while at work, I tried doing what the kids do in the PS4 trailers before release.

Playstation app on my phone

Store

Download Outlast

Went home to play, game finished installing and it says something like, cannot play game, must log on with the account that registered the game....

I only have my PSN on the PS4 and my psn on my PS app..

Deleted and re-downloaded it from the ps store (PS4) and it still says i can't play because my account wasn't the one that registered it?

Will call customer support when i get off work today, but damn!

vibration in your headset? ive never heard of that before, but i dont see personally how thatd be good.

imagine playing outlast. 3 in the morning and all the lights are off. you could swear that the weird shadow being cast from the tv in the furthest corner from you keeps moving but it must be the light right? you keep playing the game anyways. that damn shadow in the corner seems like its moving every time you look away from it. you keep playing the game. suddenly your headset AND hands start frantically vibrating cuz a monster attacked u out of nowhere in the game?

IM STRAAAIIIIIIIIIIGHTTTTTTTTTTT OFF THAT. the heart attack would be too sudden and too severe.

also in reference to outlast.. look at how a writer on kotaku described it.

"Some inmates are hostile, some are not, and not knowing if the guy sitting in the corner watching you is going to attack or let you pass keeps you on constant edge. I passed by a window to a room I needed to enter, and spotted a gruesome-looking fellow playing piano. He stopped, got up, and walked slowly towards the window, staring at me for a good 15 seconds before disappearing into the darkness. Knowing that he might still be in there when I walked through the door was an awful feeling."

THATS TERRIBLE BRUH

It actually functions extremely well. Its amazing with BF4. When a helicopter is flying over your head it sounds and feels like you actually have one over your head. It works in sync with the 7.1 surround sound.

Also the vibration can be regulated or shut off.

I think you have to restore license to the game. I'm not too completely sure but try it.

I've never had a gaming headset before, but seriously considering it now. I've heard good things about those sony ones.

 This is the same guy who said last gen (PS3, 360, Wii) was the last generation of consoles. And did not explain how companies are fine with throwing their games up on PS+ after 3 months.

Games Industry Analyst Thinks 'PlayStation Now is a Joke'
'No publisher' will license content less than two years old, says Michael Pachter.
by Katie Williams FEBRUARY 5, 2014
Gaming industry analyst Michael Pachter has spoken out against Sony's PlayStation Now, saying that it has "no prayer" of working.

Speaking in the March 2014 issue of Game Informer, Pachter says, "PlayStation Now is a joke. There is no publisher that is going to license content that's less than two-years old because they would be concerned that they can't sell as many copies if they make it available for subscription or rental."

"This has no prayer of working. None."

Sony's head of hardware marketing, John Koller, has hit back at the criticisms, claiming that publishers are being "exceedingly bullish" about PlayStation Now's prospects. In the above video, however, we addressed the PlayStation 4's rumored future ability to emulate retro PlayStation games, and what impact it might have on PlayStation Now's success.

Playstation Now is a content-streaming service that aims to bring games to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, televisions, and mobiles devices. Beta invites for the service started to go out to select users last week.

For more on the PlayStation Now, see our hands-on impressions from CES, or our comedy video feature, How Bad Could PlayStation Now Be?

The full service is due to launch this summer in the US, with a UK release following next year.

Are you one of the lucky gamers to have been invited to the private beta? Do you think that the PlayStation Now will be as much of a failure as Pachter suggests?

How does one restore the license?
I'm not sure about restoring a license but I had the same problem and just went back into the ps store, searched for outlast and instead of having the option to download it said play. It's been working for me since I did that.

This...can't eem play the game straight for too long . Lol
I think the vibration function in the Elite Pulse only works when the audio preset is set to "shooter". I played Outlast with the bass and volume cranked up and still couldn't feel any vibration on the headset.

the xbox 3 thread reminds of early iphone threads.  Dudes getting excited about features that should be standard and are already on other platforms..

not knockin em though, they have a lot of features PS4 doesn't, but i just think its funny.

Bout to hop on BF4 for the first time since like early december. Prolly get on later tonight too if it goes well.

I swear I've never gotten so aggravated with a game before. Time to switch back to Tomb Raider.

Bf4 is doing there player appreciation right now. Bronze battlepack everyday (silver on fri/sat) till mar 6. Random challenges for gold bps and bonus xp. Good time to get back on but all kinds of dudes on there. Difficulty went up for me ( plus they weapon balanced and I haven't got used to it yet).
