The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Not into MMO's, but that's cool that they're upgrading people for free. I thought it was cool that some games were doing the $10 upgrade, but Square is just upgrading people for free.

That was a great advert. Showcases the PS Ecosystem well.

I love the light strip on the PS4.

Full Conference.

can't you just create a japanese psn account, get a month of ps+ on the japanese account, then get knack for "free?"

^ Not buy them. I have a Japanese PSN account that I created in like 07-08 for certain demos that were in Japan well before they get localized.

I don't think you can use a credit card from outside of the region you're purchasing from. Maybe you could buy PSN cards to pay for the Plus subscription from the Japan PS store, but you need the PS+ account active to play the game and then there's the whole language barrier if it's a factor to you because you're going to get the Japanese version of the game.

I don't mind paying for the game because I want to play it and if people actually buy it, there's a better chance of them making more platformers instead of another thousand first person action games with guns. I constantly replayed the Ratchet & Clank Future games this generation. Mostly Tools of Destruction. Probably beat that one like 6 times. I still need to buy Sly 4.

This vita tv is very very cool, sony definitely has my attention.

Im not trying to sound ignorant with this next question just purely curious, but do big game tournaments like shown in the commercial actually happen over in Japan.  I realize its advertisement and sony trying to sell units but I've heard stuff like that happens for starcraft etc.

Starcraft is like a national sport in Korea. Players are sponsored, it's shown on live TV and the payouts are Huge. I'm not sure what's the biggest in Japan. Fighting game tournaments are pretty big but not as big as starcraft.

Knack isn't part of PS+ for Japan. It's just free if you buy it day 1. It's just to say sorry for waiting, here's a gift.

It'll most likely come with a download code on that purple slip

They need to hurry up and release the HD direct feed of this gameplay. Look at the particle effects. One of the players throws a tornado at the dragon. :wow:

Ok I read through and watched those videos, i have a couple questions that maybe you guys can answer for me. I already have a vita, what are the differences with the new one besides the redesign and color options? Is it still touch screen? Does it still have the rear touch panel? (Doesn't look like it does.)

Now regarding Vita TV, 1. WOW 2. I'm confused a bit on how this works. Lets say I pop in Unit 13, I can now play it on my TV with a DS3? if I didn't have a Vita would it make sense to purchase this? Now to the big boy stuff.. What exactly did they mean by remote play PS4? Could I take the VitaTV to a friends house and play my PS4 from there?

I wanna be excited about this peripheral but I'm unsure as to how it works and what it does.

I got hyped when they started playing Tekken 2! Took me way back. Haven't owned a Playstation since PS One and Tekken 2 was the first game I bought for it :smokin. On another note, Japanese people have cool *** names

Patiently waiting for the Canadian PS4 commercial...

First guy walks to his fridge with a tuque on and grabs a ginger ale before he sits down and presses the PS button on the DS4 to power up the system. Starts up NHL 14 with a bowl of poutine on the coffee table. Montage of score attempts, defensive plays, and an ultimate goal from a highly animated player.

Second guy talks to first guy through headset and needs help in PlanetSide 2. First guy says he's broke and doesn't have PS+ or the game. Second guy tells him that PS2 is free and doesn't require PS+ to play it online. First guy downloads PS2 in the background while finishing his match in NHL.

Canadian equivalent of the "Sarah Greene" character messages first guy and asks if he's played LEGO Marvel Superheroes. He responds by saying he saw her video gameplay and said he would buy it, but he's broke. PS2 finishes and he hops on with second guy and they get mashed on because the main characters never lose in these things. I'm putting an end to that.

Third guy who just mashed these clowns in PlanetSide 2 uploaded the video of him massacring them, then sends them a message. They get salty about it and turn off their PlayStation's.

Commercial ends with 4 frames. First frame is an upset first guy with the stink face eating his poutine. Second frame is an upset second guy. Third frame is the Canadian Sarah Greene sitting in a Tim Hortons laughing with her hipster friends. Fourth frame is the third guy who won the game with a big grin.

"CONNECTED."

ctrl + f "bagged milk"

Nope. Not authentic enough.

I live in BC, we don't have bagged milk. I was born in Toronto though. Definitely had all my milk come from bags when I lived there.

Third guy can have a glass of milk from a bag to celebrate his victory though.
