M$ is not hot right now lol.

Most of the games released right now are available on all platforms, with sony hitting 20 million consoles sold, its very likely one of your friends or someone you know will most likely own a system now or perhaps cop one later this year.

project morph is gonna kill the VR market, although the Oculus Rift and Steam VR are good options. Just remember that Sony requires no hardware upgrades (PC video cards) to play. I think that right there is gonna be a huge factor considering that nobody wants to spend an extra $300.

M$ may have a augmented headset out... But from what I saw it seems like theyre focused on productivity rather than games.

I just assumed it would be since it's an older FF game, was it originally on PSP?

What is the gameplay like?

It is for story and alot of the enemies/terminology. But ARR is an MMO. The series is more turn-based (or varations on turn based) combat.

However, as a fan of the series, I thought XIV was very, very good. So you may not be a fan of the other games.

Theres that new W-Force game Toukiden.  Trailer looked cool, but then i realized its made by the same people who do Dynasty/Samurai Warriors... Looking at the gameplay, they just replace 100s of enemies with 1 large monster.  

Why would anyone wanna play that when Type-0 comes out WITH a demo for FFXV the week before?

Right, they aren't TRUE turn-based RPG's, but they are variations of it. You are still waiting on gauges, the only difference is that you have movement control of your character. 

I'd still classify them as turn-based rather than action RPG's.

Type-0 is worth a look... however temper your expectations, as you said it was a PSP game.

It's like a youtuber said, $ony ....ed up the least. $ony played it safe after messing up their ps3 launch.

$ony would not have the lead had m$ debuted the console they had now.

That's the heat m$ is bringing right now.

I don't understand how the ds4 is gimmicky, I like the way it works with GTAV. It's a blank canvas waiting to be painted on, it's up to developers to utilize it's functions.

The ds4 being used as a map is gimmicky. Let's say you accidentally graze it then it pulls up the map. That can get annoying. The speaker is also gimmicky.

Not to mention the light bar.

Now for games that actually utilize them in a cool way such as Second's son's graffiti art or Blue Estate's rail shooter gunplay, I'm all for that.

I wonder what Until Dawn can use the ds4 in cool ways.

But when it's just tacked on, it's like was this really necessary?

How I feel about the ds4 is also how I feel about the wiimote and wii u gamepad. Some games USE it, and some game use it. There's a difference.

The game that uses the DS4 the best so far is Second Son... It was cool how they did it... I liked how the light flashes when you shoot on Tomb raider too.

And the speaker is definitely different, I like that a lot too.

And it seems like they fixed the rubber issue on the newer ones. I haven't had any problems with my blue controller yet.

Check out Blue Estate. You can use your ds4 like a gun and it works pretty well.

It sounds like you don't own an xb1 and are using conjecture.

m$ is responsible for releasing one of the fastest selling consoles on the market to date. They're on fire.

They've been delivering on exclusives(games/features), updates, and feedback.

Big ups to $ony for selling 20 mil, but let's not pretend $ony doesn't have other goals to accomplish.

Finally caved in and re-bought TLOU since it was $16.

That's the thing nobody is claming that the exclusives for the ps4 are great. Especially in this thread... Because honestly they aren't.

But neither are the exclusives on the Xbox. There is not One MUST HAVE exclusive on either console right now. But I keep hearing about these XB1 exclusives that are so great.

And you keep saying If M$ didn't do this and if M$ didn't do that they would be leading. But the truth is even with all the changes the ps4 is still outselling the Xbox one... The holiday is the only months that it outsold the ps4 and let's be serious with all them deals they were basically giving them joints away.

I mean I couldn't care less. But there are those that do and I understand that.

Still using that Yoshida article. The system is exceeding expectations but if you think they didn't think it will sell well then you didn't follow last gen.

Sony have Europe, Middle East and Japan on lock. Even if MS had launched the XBone as it is after the 180's and price drop, it would still be behind. It would only be competitive in the US and the UK.
PS3 turned around a 10 million deficit and that was with a high price, releasing late and being hard to develop for.

They fixed all that with the PS4 and went head to head with the Xbone. After the massacre at E3 and with the 4theplayers marketing slogan it was GG's.

Even after the 180's only way the Xbone could beat the PS4 in their strongest market was to slash the price and bundle two games for the holidays but that didn't last long as PS4 retook the lead in Jan so no even the console MS has now isn't doing anything.

As for the heat.
Sony has more exclusives coming than MS. This quarter has been barren for MS while Sony had The Order, Bloodborne and MLB.

They are far in the lead because they reversed all what went wrong on the PS3 plus more in addition to MS dropping the ball.
