The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

SUpposedly, lego city undercover is one of most original/funny lego games.

Then again, there appeal is catering to fans of specfic movies/characters.
I wanted to try it but not for that price. I guess since it's a Wii U exclusive it'll probably stay at that price for awhile

Nice! I wonder how they are going to expand their roster from the first Marvel game, though. They had SO many characters.

Which of those are good?
Transistor is probably the best game there. Thief was good, Apotheon looks pretty fun, and Rogue Legacy had alot of fans in the rogue-like genre.

Yakuza and Kick & Fennick I have never played.

I'd think they actually have less characters since it's Avengers and not Super Heroes like the last game.

I was really looking forward to Transistor. I wish we could have got Thief on PS4. I've never played Yakuza but it reminds me of Sleeping Dogs which I liked. Rogue Legacy looks like a fun indie. Best PS+ lineup in awhile imo.

I was about to buy Rogue Legacy to play on my Vita.  I am so excited.  Haven't played transistor yet either.  Games With + delivers.

I was looking at Rogue Legacy to hold me over until Shovel Knight drops.

All indie games will be on ps+ sooner or later, you can quote me on this.
Yeah I know what you mean. I just bought a bunch of indie games last week on sale knowing one day they'll be free.  Even LBP3 will be free down the line.

I wonder if Thief is a cross-buy or whatever you call it.  Because if you download it from the PS3 it might be available to get it on the PS4 too?!... I'm not sure.

I notice that when I had purchased this one game on the PS3 years back... it was available for free for the PS4.

I hope that Oddworld, Abe's remake makes it to psMINUS.  I loved that game back in the day.

It is possible, but pretty unlikely. Most AAA games aren't cross-buy. And most cross-buy titles are PS3/PS4 if there is also a Vita version, so it then becomes cross-buy on all 3. It is extremely rare you'd ever see cross-buy for a game strictly on PS3 and PS4 alone.

Rogue Legacy is a very fun game.

I was thinking about Apotheon recently. I thought it looked great back when it was revealed. The fact that it's a day 1 PS+ game is just awesome.

Transistor is fun. I bought it a few months ago after I saw my roommate playing it on PC.
Glad Thief is going PS+. I wanted to try it but didn't want to spend my money and it was crap

Posted by Ramone Russell on Jan 29, 2015 // Community Manager, SCEA San Diego Studios

Spring is just around the corner and that means life is about to get a whole lot better. Baseball fans across the world relish the return of America’s great pastime along with the return of peanuts, Yasiel Puig, Matt Vasgersian, and of course, MLB 15: The Show. (Equipment on PS3 version is not seen during gameplay.)

Franchise Mode Refresh
(PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

Building a championship-caliber team is more fun and dynamic than ever before, with the new Performance-based Player Progression, as well as much improved Trade and Contract logic. Partner up with Brand Sponsors, giving your broadcast elements an official sponsor and earn some extra dough to spend on your team.

Directional Hitting Interface

Featured for the first time in MLB 15 The Show is the new Directional Hitting interface, which allows you to influence the direction of your hits in real-time while you swing. Using the L-Stick, you can attempt to influence fly balls, ground balls, pushed hits, pulled hits, or any of those in combination.

Universal Rewards
(PS4 & PS3 Only)

Licensed Bats, Gloves, Batting Gloves, and Cleats that enhance your Road to the Show or Diamond Dynasty players’ abilities
Brand Sponsorships for your Franchise team that spice up your in-game interface and earn your team some extra income
Collect entire teams to unlock MLB legendary alumni players from each MLB team

Legends
(PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

We partnered with the MLB Player’s Alumni Association to make a total of 30 Legends playable in MLB 15 The Show. Collect an entire MLB team, and you’ll unlock an iconic alumni player from that team. There’s one from each team, and though you’ll have to find or unlock the card to slot them into your Dynasty squad, you can simply opt in to utilizing the whole pool of Legends in your Franchise mode.

“Inside The Show” News Suite
(PS4, partial PS3)

Franchise, RTTS, and Season modes all feature a new suite of features centered on providing news updates from around the league. Inside The Show is a new radio broadcast that will be heard at the beginning of each new day and will discuss recent scores, notable performances, team news, milestones, records, standings, and more. In addition, the new League Updates panel, found in season based modes, gives the user a quick snapshot of updates from around the League so you don’t have to dig through multiple screens to get the basics.
As you can see, our goal this year was to build off the solid foundation of MLB 14 and expand on the game we love to make MLB 15 The Show the best baseball game ever made.

Good chance. Munch's Odyssey came out for free in 2013.

How was munchs oddysssey btw? I dl'd it played the first level or so and its all aroubd atmosphere was quirky abd ubique and altogether charming. Yet i could see how all the later levels would be basically the same puzzles abd just never picked it up again

I'm in my 3rd year with my player on RTTS. Being able to continue on the new one is awesome on so many levels! :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

1MVP
2 golden Gloves
World Series title

Looking to add to this!

I had all intentions of picking up last year's game but I just never got around to it. I am definitely looking to pick up this one tho. I've slowed down playing NBA2K and think I'd rather try this instead of 2K16.

EDIT:  Gametrailers gave Dying Light a 6.8

I've been playing the LEGO Movie with my son for a few weeks now. It's cool to play something with him and for him to actually be able to play and know what he's doing. Next is Marvel Super Heroes and possibly Batman 3: Beyond Gotham once the price drops

Lego games all you do is hold circle to make the pieces comes together, right? Yiu want your child to use his imagination to form things, may i suggest minecraft (my child and i DABBLE in the mine maneuviz since were on the model crafts i got for xmas)

If you really want something short and unique get papo and yo. The soundtrack is greater than anything iyens ever posted, im sure.

Its story is tragic but uplifting and (gasp!) it actually requires thinkjng as opposed to being a straightforward tale. The puzzles are simple for an adult but certainly rewarding for a child.

Papo and yo is the verybdefinition of an underrated title and is better than journey. Easily. That ending. It is withiut a doubt one of my bery favorite titlea from the entire
PS 3 generation

In regards to uplifting a childs reaction time (as video games are wont to do) i would recommend steering clear of shooters and instead opting for racers. Gran Turismo, mario kart and even limited grand theft auto are a few of my recommendations. I challenge anyone who says video games are simply not beneficial for a growing young abd influential mind. Nothing beats outside play, peer to peer role-playing, reading and simple old fashioned explanation but video games are certainly a unique and fun bonding experience when applied responsibly.

As for kingdom hearts series skip all the ither khbgdom hearts (view the cut scenes on youtube if you wish). Save your time abd jump right into kingdom hearts 2.

Lego games what, now???

Ps- i cant in good faith exclude this since my mind has been focused on little ones for however many minutes it took me to write that post and i am quite protective of all the children of this earth. ABOVE ALL ELSE, dairy eggs and meat are unsuitable for anyone and ESPECIALLY children to consume. What you choose to eat is the greatest decision you will make everytime you rise from slumber. Not what jays your gunna rock or what school your child will go to. They are all secondary, although certainly varying in importance of course.

:steps off soap box:
