The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Can confirm that's gameplay in the Dissidia trailer. Squenix has been sitting on this title for a while now. Only releasing on arcades to try to generate some revenue; lord knows they need it. I hope they fold in the next couple of years and sell their IP's to competent developers.

I laughed.

Square Enix sell their IPs?

Who would make Final Fantasy?

Not even sure what to say to this nonsense

All the talent left years ago; Square Enix is known more as a publisher now than a developer.Square Enix hasn't made a good game since Final Fantasy XII in 2006. Almost 10 years ago. They are in dire straits financially.

Hmm...

now imagine me posting spoilers to a game no one's played in the xbone thread.
I don't think we would be so sensitive to a screen shot that doesn't destroy the story or anything but yall carry on.

Because if there's one thing we do know, it's that nobody is sensitive to stuff I post in the xbone thread.

" HALO 5 FINAL BOSS" screen cap. Yeah, huge fits would be thrown.
They would only react because if it was you, you come there to rustle feathers. I personally don't care, I like the jokes from the PS, Xbox debates.

Way to totally contradict yourself.

So instead of wishing for a new generation of talented devs, you wish for the company to be sold and their ip's to be scattered about the place.

As for their financial status, can you back it up.

FFXIV is proof they still have it and it's been generating money for them.

Making a good game and making profit are two different things.

Obviously Sakaguchi left but please tell me who "all the talent" were that left because all the talent didn't leave years ago. All the talent got stuck on FF XI. Which has been their only constant yearly cash cow. There's a ton of talent on XIV which has been a steady cash cow since 2.0 launched. Tabata's team is laced with really great innovators and Nomura is well... Nomura. There's also a lot of other things in the works and talent on board that the public isn't privy to in terms of new IP development. To say that they're in dire straits financially is straight up libel.

Key talent that left.

Kentaro Yasui, main programmer on Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.

Ryuji Ikeda, Shouta Shimoda and Takeshi Arakawa; duties included main programmers, director of planning, texture director, supervising director, and graphic directors across key titles.

Yo****aka Amano; shouldn't have to explain who he is. One of the most revered contemporary Japanese artists.

Tetsuya Takahasi; worked on Chrono Trigger,Final Fantasy V and VI. Left and co-founded Monolith Soft.

Yoshihisa Hashimoto; Chief Technology Officer and technical director of the stunning Luminous Engine.

Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Nobuo Uematsu; one of the greatest producers in gaming history that's responsible for all of the most memorable soundtracks.
