The rubber on my left thumb/analog stick is coming off. I bought my PS4 5 months ago. Do I contact Sony or dell(where I bought it from) for a replacement?

Anyone have this problem?

Already hard reset it twice.

Disconnect it from the power source for 30 seconds and hold the power button, when it stops beeping all the static electricity is gone. Then plug it back in. Should be fine. This happens when the ps4 builds static electricity. This fixes the constantly ejecting discs issues as well.

You're not doing it correctly. You have to make sure all the static electricity is gone. That's why I said disconnect it from the power source and hold the power button till you no longer hear any beeps. Then plug it back in and it should be fine. Another tip is doing what I said and then going into rebuild database. You won't lose any files. It just looks for the issue.

Mines did the same thing.. I actually called Sony and they replaced mines... Or maybe they fixed it.. Whatever the case it was free...



@iyen call tech support... They're gonna give you some weird sequence to follow to reboot your ps4 but it'll fix the problem. Happened to me too last year.. Haven't had a problem since.
