If you haven't played the games, and they're worth playing, how is it a bad investment? I doubt they'll even scratch the surface with the re-releases and port jobs from the PS3 to PS4. There's a lot of PS2 games that never got ported up. Some of these games getting remastered came out give or take a decade ago.

Don't forget the LIBRARY of games you get with psMINUS, pretty much makes the PS3 worth it for anyone still without one.

Gotta agree there. PS+ sucks balls. I haven't been impressed by any of the free games so far. Pretty much paying $50 a year to play Call of Duty online for the most part. I don't even look to see what they're giving away anymore.

what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ps4 barely has over 6 games let alone waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more then 6 great games.... I mean I get trying to justify "impulse" hype buying...and being a fan boy and all but way more then 6 games.... now you just over-selling

I mean, what games would you give out for free at this point? Battlefield? 2K? Infamous? Ground Zeroes? There is literally nothing else they can offer right now besides these indie titles we've been getting.

You must not have had a 360. We basically had to pay just to play online without the added bonus of free games and we had to pay $60 a year to do it. Not the $50 that PS plus costs.

Not to mention no access to netflix, HBO GO, internet explorer, etc unless you paid. Coming from live, PS plus is a godsend, and quite frankly, almost too good to be true.

The free games aren't great right now, but at least they're free. The console is only 6 months old. Give it time and we'll see better titles
 
@empirestrikesfirst  do PS4 users get the 30 day trial for FF XIV even if you are just upgrading from PS3 or do you have to actual buy a PS4 copy via retail or digital?

more than 6 AAA exclusives? You must be counting individual games within a series. I dont.  I say Uncharted, TLoU, GoW, and what else? Those are the games that you MUST play in your lifetime to call yourself a gamer. what other AAA exclusives were there? aware me. Cuz i know id LIKE to play Heavy Rain (already did) and id LIKE to play Beyond 2 Souls... but tell me some others that you MUST play. and its a bad investment because theyre coming out for the NEW system.

youre literally telling people to pay money to backtrack and play games...that are being brought FORWARD onto a better system. i would much rather save money by NOT buying a dead system, and spend that money buying the games i missed on it instead...

library?  we're talking about people who didnt have a ps3 so its safe to say they didnt even have a psn account. aka...all those free games given out thus far for the ps3...are no longer free/available. and beyond that, referring to the earlier argument, which games are people supposed to be hype about getting? for instance, arkham city and borderlands 2 were given away for free right? those arent even exclusives. i had them on xbox. why would i be hyped for this "library" since MOST of the games (if not all) that will be offered for free will be old cross-platform games that most people have played? i could see if they started giving away their good exclusives for free after a year or 2 but...thats not gonna happen. thats like getting hyped cuz they announce theyre going to give away call of duty: black ops 1 for free.

Ill take uncharted, god of war and tlou for 500 alex. (crazy...the same ones i mentioned) cuz the rest of those really dont grab my attention PERSONALLY. and mgs4 was all cutscenes but whatever, what do i know.

bottom line, ill just sit here and wait with the ps4 to re-release the games people cared most about. then ill play them on the ps4, instead of buying a ps3...and playing them there.

iuno ppl are getting hyped for gta v being ported to xbone and ps4.... and that game is just as big or even bigger then cod.. I think it is suppose to be june... Whats sad I believe it will probably be the biggest game for both systems for the summer.
 
I'm excited for GTA V on the PS4 because I honestly believe the trailers we saw before the game was released were from the next gen versions. Not knocking how the game turned out last gen, but it did look downgraded.

Plus, as I've said before, I don't have my 360 anymore so I can't play the game anymore and I've been itching to jump back into the single player campaign again.

Speaking of games this summer, isn't the Destiny beta supposed to be starting soon? I haven't gotten any new info on it
 
Watch Dogs PS4 targeting 1080p

The PS4 version of Watch Dogs is expected to run at 1080p.

So said cinematics animation lead Lars Bonde during a PC Games video interview conducted during a recent Watch Dogs studio tour, which also features PS4 footage of the game and can be watched below.

Bonde said of the difference between the various versions of Watch Dogs: "The first thing I want to make clear is that, at its core, it's the same experience on current-gen and next-gen consoles. You get the same gameplay out of it.

"Of course there are nuances to it," he continued. "We are utilising Xbox One to its full capabilities and the same with PS4, of course, so I know that, as far as to my knowledge, on PS4 it will run in full HD."

Last month, Arab Gamer claimed Ubisoft had revealed the following resolutions and frame rates for the game during a Watch Dogs press conference: PS4 (1080p/30fps), Xbox One (960p/30fps), PC (up to 4K/framerate varies). CVG has requested clarification on the game's performance across platforms from Ubisoft's UK arm this morning.

The publisher recently announced a Watch Dogs release date of May 27 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, with the Wii U version set to launch "at a later date".

Earlier this week, GameStop revealed that Watch Dogs DLC set to be included in a $20 season pass will feature "a unique single player campaign" starring a new playable character and extra weapons.

You don't count individual games, only series as exclusives.

Someone gives you a list of 7 off the top of his head.

You come back with, "I don't like those ones".
