The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I thought I heard Toby Stephens in that The Order video.

He's in Black Sails which had an awesome 1st season.

the order reminds me of gears of war if it was based in 1886
not a bad thing...................

It doesn't look like Gears. It looks way slower and less punishing

Not to hate, because I'm sure this game will be very good. But they are picking they most generic parts to show off

Driveclub looks 100x more fun than boring @#$ Gran Turismo, which has been the exact same game since Gran Turismo 3

I agree 100% with this post I see it on ign and other sites that posted some early gameplay of the game and I don't understand how people could say it looks like gears :l and does anyone know what this game is even about? It looks nice but I have 0 clue as to what is going on in this game

After about 2 hrs of play here what i take from WATCH DOGS...

1st if your going in thinking its gonna be like GTV then your mistaken and might not like the game. Outside of being free roam open world, and some of the cues ala like the mapping, the way waypoints etc are, things of that natture, there really isnt much similiar.

There isnt really any fighting, there is no kick/punch etc... hell there isnt even a jump option. There is a takedown/sneak attack button and thats about it. You can pick up/craft objects and use them to attack ppl. The aim/manuever set up etc is very similar to hitman.

The hacking isnt just in the game just for the sake of being in the game, many times itt is needed to solve/find clues, set up opponents, gather info intel useful in completing missions and side jobs. Also just  to get to certain areas in th city, or into buildings etc. You also can use hacking/wire tapping to prevent/intervine crimes. Or to find things you may need later in the game...ex: you hack a guys office pc and see a email between him and someone else talking about exchanging illegal weapons at a certain place and time. You can use that to set them up and come in and take the weapons for your own use. Or if you catch a guy with a sketchy background...and you use his webcam to see he is watching kiddie pron. You can anonymously report him to the cops and get bonus points to increase hacking skills, or tools etc.

There is interaction with the background and ppl of the city, you can step up and play 3 card monte for money, chess with folks in the park, etc... Can hack things like snack machines to get food/drinks/asprin etc... You can also use your phone to play mini games that can earn bonus points etc... And when i mean phone i mean the one aiden uses, and you as a person can use your real life smartphone to interact with the game...(gotta d/l app).

Like GTV you can buy clothes, weapons, cars, homes things of that nature...but you can also buy spy equipment and other electronics...or earn them by either... taking on contracts, or by hacking ppl phones, tablets, laptops etc... and getting information. You also can take things you find in the city to either pawn and get cash trade for something useful, or make create weapons etc with it.

It sometimes uses that qte...kinda like max payne 3 uses, it also has a hitman vibe.... in that when your to close to a person your hacking, a sonar kinda goes off letting you know you should shutdown, or step out of scanning range. Ppl can and will also try hacking you so you have to be on the lookout for that as well....including the police.

Graphic wise it doesnt blow you away but it is clearly better then a last gen system. Most of the detailed graphics shine in the environment, and the qte, slowmo action scenes.

You have the option of using you phone to interact and hack ppl on the go...or you can use a friends or someone else psn name and hack and disrupt someone elses game with your cell/tablet...(havent did it since i dont know anyone else with the game, and the app isnt available yet.)

Overall i give the game a solid 8/10... It plays nothing like sleeping dogs, it isnt the new GTV, there isnt just random attacking beating folks ala like GTV or Saints Row. There really isnt just a free for all kill/destroy just for the hell of it element. I would recommend this game. It really outside of inFAMOUS SS: the best new gen game out there..unless you just fixated on certain games and genres ala just a sport guy or just fps or a certain series guy ala only play ff or cod, grand theft etc.
Oh another thing i just found out well forgot to mention is one when you save a game you have to either complete a mission etc... dont wanna say use spoilers... or go to your hideout or a ctos hub (you hacked/have access to) to save your game. That and any accomplishments/weapons etc... things you earn competing online do not transfer, cant be used in solo/mission mode.

Basically if you play online or compete against someone and hack their account and steal money. or break security code etc.. and rob them and take a car/weapons etc... You cannot take said items and used them in the story mode.

Finally finished Bioshock Infinite.

I had a bad experience with it.

At the beginning, I was looking through every nook and cranny for money, collectibles, etc.

By the end, I did not care about that crap.

I just wanted to complete the game. Ran past enemies, avoided side quests, etc.

I was confused at the end.

I don't even know what I just played.

All in all, I thought this game was horrible. So much padding(unnecessary fights and vox poluli...wut?).

Bioshock 1/2 were alright.

Honestly I'm struggling like **** to get through this joint. My homie was like "the story better than TLOU" I'm guessing he was joking that day. :smh:

The story made little sense to me.

I'd honestly drop the game, If I were you.

The first 15min of TLOU is better than the 10+hrs I put into Bioshock Infinite.

Trust me. If you're not liking the game now, you'll dislike it even more later on.

What makes it worse is that I paid money for this when it was hot rather than getting it off ps+.

I going to go donate this game or resell it.

Bioshock Infinite's story is a convoluted mess. All that work, all those BS twist, decisions that mean nothing, one of the worst boss fights I have ever played, a final level that spikes difficult to a ridiculous level for no damn reason, just to get to the end to watch a long as cut scene. Then the big surprise at the end had me like

And no way you will get the story without listening to all those audio logs (seriously, **** won't make sense without them), or going to youtube to watch a story explanations. Pure nonsense, worst part, all of this is none of purpose

I don't think I've ever quit before I finished a game. But Bioshock Is cutting it close.

I'm going to try to power throughout it. I'm trying to be done with this joint. So I can go ahead and start the Arkham series.

 Bioshock infinite was the third best game to come out last year behind TLOU and GTAV imo, but all of yalls complaints are legit. A couple things they definitely could've done better .

I thought Bioshock Infinite was fantastic. It's my favorite game from last year and I may even like it more than the original Bioshock
