Im not really a minecraft dude, but here you go. VIA Playstation lifestyle:

Minecraft PS4 Edition Release Date is Today in North America, Already Out in Europe (Update)

by Jason Dunning|September 4, 2014

Update 2:

Numerous people have reported that the PlayStation Store on PS4 won’t load for them, and when people have been able to buy Minecraft: PS4 Edition, it either doesn’t download properly or deducts the money from your account and still shows up at $19.99.

Best bet? Hold off on buying Minecraft: PS4 Edition until the issues are sorted out.

Update:

Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition, the demo, and all the DLC is now available for purchase through the PlayStation Store in North America.

Original Story:

Already available for purchase in Europe, the wait for Minecraft: PS4 Edition in North America is coming to a close, with PlayStation and Mojang announcing that it will hit the PlayStation Store around 12pm PST/3pm EST.

Priced at $19.99/€18.99 on its own, Minecraft: PS4 Edition allows current owners of the PlayStation 3 version to upgrade for a few of $4.99/€3.99.

Here’s how it works:

For Existing PS3 Edition Owners (Disc or Digital)

On the PS4, simply log into PlayStation Store and find Minecraft PS4 Edition, and you’ll be able purchase the upgrade for $4.99/€3.99.

Note for Europe: This entitlement applies to everyone who bought Minecraft PS3 Edition (Disc or Digitally) and played it while connected to PSN prior to 28th August, and transfers their PSN account to their PS4 console.

Note for North America: This entitlement applies to everyone who bought Minecraft PS3 Edition (Disc or Digitally) with a saved game and signed into their PS4 console using the same SEN account.

About to Purchase the PS3 Edition

Digital: On the PS3, purchase Minecraft PS3 Edition for $19.99. Once you have made the purchase, you’ll be able to upgrade to the PS4 Edition for $4.99.

Retail in North America: Those joining the Minecraft experience through disc purchase should find a voucher packed in with an entitlement code.

As well, you’ll be able to import your PS3 saves to PS4. According to Fred Dutton of the EU PS Blog, the update to the PS3 version of Minecraft to allow save imports is just days away.

SCEA’s Brian Silva answered some questions on the PS Blog, with the answers below:
•“Your DLC you already purchased [on PS3] will work on PS4 as well.”
•There will be a physical version for the PS4 Edition, though no date was given.
•If you upgrade to the PS4 version, “You do not lose access to the PS3 and Vita version.”
•“Trophies from the PS3 version will not carry over to the PS4 version.”
•There are no current plans to end the upgrade offer.

I just paid off my Destiny LE today, and was told about the Monday launch event I might just go since I'm off the next few days.

With Persona 5 coming to PS4, is there any other reason to keep your PS3 plugged in?  Only reasons I can think of are for KH 2.5 and to use as a media center.  I've already given my PS3 to my sister and her husband.

It's been a great run Playstation 3.

I know this has been asked but what am I getting exactly with the expansion pass?

Gordonson you gotta be prepared to revive me on these raids b lmao. I always get the wack guns

I actually had to drop that PS4 money on books so I'll be slightly late to the party (it won't be like with GTA V, I promise )

“Expand your Destiny adventure with brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer arenas, and all wealth of all new weapons, armor, and gear to earn. The Destiny Expansion Pass includes Destiny Expansion I: ‘The Dark Below’ and Destiny Expansion II: ‘House of Wolves.’ In ‘The Dark Below,’ you’ll discover an ancient tomb has been unsealed. Beneath the surface of the Moon, a dark god has answered centuries of prayer, and a dark army has risen. Explore the true depths of the Hellmouth. Stop the dark Hive ritual and survive.”

Im playing my PS3 more than ever. Games I have missed I can now get for cheap. Also, PS+ continues giving new games every month for it.

And I'm going to grab Tales of Zesteria and Rainbow Skies when they drop.
I'm actually thinking Tales of Zestiria will be the last new PS3 title that I buy. I'd assume everything else that I usually buy would be on PS4.

when I went to preorder destiny at gamestop they were offering $5 off the expansion if you preorder it as well. I told them im still not sure on it yet

Is ebay the best place to get rid of my PS3?
the ps4 trade in or ebay are good deals now

I already bought the PS4 through this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/161408138410?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

360 no tax and I got 36 in ebay bucks to spend on a controller or a game. I couldn't resist.

That deal pops up from time to time and I was going to wait until next month but I couldn't help myself :smh:

I have two Xbox 360s(one has the 3 red rings) and a 120 Slim PS3 and 26 games. If I can get 300 total for all it I'll feel okay spending that money.
