The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

The reddit ps4 page might be the dumbest, hold my hand, help me make a decision, I done have common sense page ever.

"I own a ps4, should I own a vita?"
"I have 30$ in my PSN account. Can I get it removed back into my credit card?"
"Can I download updates for a game I don't own/have yet?"
"GTA Online question: is spending real money required?"

So annoying going there sometimes.

NT isnt much better, i dont know how many times people came in different threads asking about Target's B2G1.  When the sale starts/ends, can i get GTA/Dragon Age/WWE, can i return it to walmart, can i exchange it for games that come out later, does best buy honor Target's B2G1, etc.

Those questions were asked in so many different ways, and were already answered previously or could've been answered if they just called the store and get a definite answer themselves.

I'd say that's a bit much

No. Bethesda hasn't managed to create a open world to rival Rockstar's efforts in their entire history.

PC Mods are the only thing keeping Elder Scrolls games alive.
Maybe you shouldnt have cracked that Jack so early. You have your opinion, that's fine. But Rockstar isn't putting anyone out of business if they get into the genre.

They would decimate the the Elder Scrolls which hasn't been good since Morrowind. Elder Scrolls only gimmick is having a huge open world that you can explore; only problem is it's boring, barren, and lifeless.

Look what happened with Red Dead Redemption. Came out of nowhere and won multiple GoTY awards and was one of the best games of the decade.

Them including a FPS Mode in GTA V is them testing the waters.

I don't know what to do though :nerd:

Get GTA again?

I got up to like 87% done on the PS3 version

I doubt i get GTA again but I said the same thing about TLOU and ended up getting it

GTA takes up to much of my time

I'll probably pass this time

I don't get the hype with GTA games. They aren't bad games but I don't get why they are on such a high pedestal

I can see you are really passionate about R* but you really think that they will run everyone else away? No matter how good it may be, I don't see people not buying other games just to sit around and wait for R* to drop a game

I would think that Elder Scrolls fans buy those games for other things in addition to FPS mode. GTA fans and ES fans seem like two totally different people

People like freedom to do what they want for the most pay without being restricted to a linear storyline. GTA has always provided that. The open worlds have been some of the best in gaming. San Andreas was one of the top games of all time as far as story and execution. Rockstar is constantly pushing the envelope and if they ever get heists in this damn online game the MP aspect will go to another level.

They aren't perfect as some of the reviews for GTA 4 and previous gen 5 would lead you to believe, but I can't think of another game besides RDR that I went days without playing any missions or story mode and was just messing around, there's just so much too do. Variety is the spice of life bruh, GTA if nothing else personifies that.

Kinda want the evil within , I wasn't gonna pay 60 for it tho , it's 25 on bf but the reviews got me feeling sketch

I can understand being able to free roam and have "pointless" fun but does that not get boring to you guys after awhile? I don't see how that can be a selling point for some. I play GTA, beat the story and then I'm done with it. I only like doing "side quests" if they benefit my game progress. An example would be a side quest from Final Fantasy. I complete side quests to get legendary weapons which makes my person stronger, faster etc.

So for the people who have played the online, how is it? I remember the PS3 launch was terrible for online play.

It's definitely worth $25 if you are into the survival horror genre. It provides a great challenge too. The storyline was kinda meh but for $25, I'd recommend it.
