Been hoping it'd be a PS+ candidate. 

If it is, next month, I'm gonna feel like such a idiot. But if it's free anytime after that, I won't mind too much. 


I never expected the Shareplay thing to be unlimited. I mean, what would be the point of buying games if that was the case. I think however, it will be useful and very fun to jump into multiplayer games like CoD and the likes with a friend.

Included within the upcoming PlayStation 4 firmware update 2.0 this fall is Share Play, a feature where your system will be able to “create an online local co-op experience by allowing you to invite a friend to join your game,” while also offering the option for you to jump into a friend’s game and take over the controls (or vice-versa).

Earlier this week, French site Gameblog ran a report that said Share Play would have a time limit, and now GameSpot has received confirmation from Sony that there will be a 60-minute time limit on every Share Play session. The good news, however, is that there’s no restriction placed on the number of times you can use Share Play, so the limit shouldn’t equate to too much of a hassle.

Earlier this week, SCEA Director of Product Planning & Software Innovation Scott McCarthy spoke on the PS Blog about Share Play:

This feature is less about ‘social features’ which we have a lot of, but more about playing great games with the people you want to game with most. PS4 will always be games 1st and this feature does a lot to let gamers play more of the games they love.

THAT TIME LIMIT IS STRAIGHT UP FOOLISH, REGARDLESS IF YOU CAN JUST RESTART AFTERWARDS. IF THAT'S THE CASE THEN WHAT PURPOSE DOES THE TIME LIMIT SERVE?

I think it is simply there to be just slightly annoying enough that people might be like, "Eh, I do enjoy this game, probably easier to go buy it than have to do it in 1 hour chunks...".

I agree it's not the best, but it's a start.

There was no way you could expect to get unlimited access to someone elses games

 The time constraint was to be expected imo.

I already beat ToX with Jude, now I need to finish it up with Millia before I play ToX2. Supposedly there is some extras (probably constumes) for each character you beat the game with. I might try and plat ToX first, it's a lot easier than previous Tales of games.

IGN gave Xillia 2 an 8.0. Colin Moriarty reviewed it, who is a JRPG fan.

I'll will pick it up for sure, but probably not until Christmas break.

I liked the first xillia, will def grab the 2nd installment, might wait on it though since namco rpgs seem to price drop quickly.

Only beat it with the chick though. Might go through and play with Jude before grabbing tox2

Colin's reviews are usually on point, at least when it comes to JRPGs.

You can probably get it a lot cheaper if you wait until Christmas break.

Rockstar seems to be busy with porting over GTA V to PC and Next-Gen and trying to get heists in GTA Online. It really got me thinking; do you think we're going to see expansions for GTA V. Like real, full fledged expansions like they did with GTA IV. Lost and Damned and Gay Tony were the highlights of GTA IV for me because they were smaller, but more concentrated and focused. I would like to see them do something like that with GTA V. The map is so massive, they can tell so many stories from so many different perspectives and utilize a lot of new game play features. I think we will but it seems like so far off. I'm guessing the soonest we'll see one, if we get one, is next Summer and that's a bummer.

I think they should have done the heists first since they were already promised. Next, add the expansions and then they could have focused on PS4/X1/PC. They could have released a "definitive" edition with all DLC included. I know quite a few people who know longer care for GTA V even with it coming to next-gen.

I did too when I watched that IGN video a few days back, until they stared at it long enough for you to see the mouth move

So shareplay, is co-op with a friend for one hour?

I don't think it's co-op though. In a previous article it said that you won't have control of your PS4 during shareplay since you are essentially letting your friend "borrow" it. The only way to interact with them while they play would be to help or troll them. You can't play together.

The way I see it, it's a way to let your friends try out a game that you may have that they're not sure about picking up (or vice versa). For example, I've been trying to get a couple of my boys to pick up TLOU but they're hesitant because they have no idea what it's about - they only play shooters and the occasional sports game and GTA - so it would be perfect for that.

Also, the time limit is only 60 minutes, but really, who would want to give up their PS4 for longer than an hour? Plus if you want longer time, you can just restart the session. All of the progress you or your friends make during that session can all be saved to each's respected profiles as well allowing you to pick up where you left off if you do decide to purchase the game.

I think shareplay is going to be dope. Sorry for the long post

Xbone fanboys are coming into the PS thread talking crap and expect us to NOT defend it?!??! **** they smoking? 2:1 bros get over it. what happened to that FPS of all FPS/system seller TitanFALL? it sure did fall.. i buy VIDEO GAME systems for VIDEO GAMES, i could care less about the entertainment aspect or social media. till this day i havent even used share factory or have broadcasted any gameplay. they have NOTHING TO OFFER. even if the Tomb Raider sequel doesnt come over to us whooptie doo, i enjoyed the first but we have Uncharted coming anyway.. but carry on with how much better your crapbox is..

Damn, I would've never expected this reaction for the new Silent Hill from NT.

 None of y'all played the OG Silent Hill, Clocktower or Resident Evil games?

 Yeah, it's scary the first time you play it but after that it kind of grows on you and you get used to it. I do it's so terrifying is because how ******* good this game looks. Easily one of the best looking games to come out on consoles so far (and Kojima purposely downgraded it to make it look like a indie game), it looks damn new photo realistic. Shame y'all can't play more because the puzzles in this game are amazing. The internet is still trying to figure it out. Reminds me of those days where you would meet up on the school playground exchanging secrets.

Was I the only one who didn't scream once playing the PT demo? Not even going to lie, I don't get along with some horror movies. They make me look like a ***** 

 but PT just had a lot of tension and nothing really crazy. Nothing but a tension filled uneccesarily complex  puzzle
