Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada took the stage at Evo 2014 to officially announce Tekken 7 – somewhat ahead of schedule.

Harada has been working on three games in secret, and confirmed that one of these games in Tekken 7 in response to the game’s leak earlier today.

“The first thought that came into my head was ‘It must have been Ono,’” Harada joked, referring to rival and Street Fighter boss Yoshinori Ono.

Apparently, Harada had not actually planned to show Tekken 7 today, but a different game – as such, he didn’t have a trailer prepared, and had to whip one up quickly in his hotel room. He asked fans to show excitement for the video to help him overcome the difficulties of having to explain this to his bosses at Namco Bandai when he get back to Japan.

The trailer showed a woman seated in a temple, speaking to Kazuya about destroying Heihachi. No gameplay was shown, unfortunately. The short video ended with the words “Kazumi and Heihachi”, and a promise of more information to come at San Diego Comic-Con.

The English version of the trailer was shown during the stream, but Harada released a Japanese version after the event. Check it out below.

We didn’t get any more information, unfortunately; according to the leak earlier today, Tekken 7 is being built on Unreal Engine 4 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

So … what was Harada supposed to announce?

stores don't seem to support ps4 at all

no accessories or many games at stores

ps3 on the other hand...

Man ima have a busy weekend this week and won't have time to play the destiny beta

Valiant Hearts. 10/10 experience. Id love to see this continue.
That's the WW1 game right? I haven't seen many people talk about it but is it really that good?
The gameplay is pretty simple. It's just a bunch of puzzles and timing stuff.

The story is extremely well done and it does it's best to teach you about WWI.

I'd say its close to a Telltale game in that gameplay isn't necessarily the thing to latch on to; it's the story and setting.

I've kinda thought that myself. Everytime I go to look at the games... They're like a small section amongst/mixed with the PS3 games. But the Xbox One section has their own little area to themselves.

I assume its because Microsoft is more likely to buy/guarantee shelfspace for their system than Sony is.

Just joined in & got a ps4 after 4 months after having my PS3 go dead on me.

Glad to say I'll be taking part in this thread more often.

Not buying any games until October though, why buy Fifa & 2k if a new one will be out in 2-3 months.

Also does HBO go work for ps4? I been seeing mixed answers.
