The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Got my Destiny alpha and Battlefield Hardline invites today. Too bad I won't be able to play them until tomorrow at the earliest.

Nope. If you haven't used it you have no idea how immersive VR is.

Fast forward to 1:20 for the lulz.

seen it before. u dont notice nobody in our age group gets used? he also pushed him. i just dont see this being SO immersive that i forget that im standing in the middle of a room, dry, and im holding a controller and instead am now frantically hoping my friends pull me out of the water.  it may be fun, AND immersive. but shes OVER-selling it. this isnt sword art online or .hack.

Bruh, I've had Outlast saved on my dashboard since it released and still haven't played just based on VIDEOS of it and people streaming it. I'm too shook to play that and I know damn well I would be holding a controller in my house and not in a mental asylum. If a regular game can feel that immersive, I can only imagine how it would be with a VR headset.

Fwd the email I'll see what the problem is.

Dragon Quest XI Will Probably Be For Home Consoles; Platform Unspecified, Release in 2016

If you love the Dragon Quest series, but you’d like to play the next chapter on a home console and not on the small screen of a portable, there are good news.

During an interview on the radio channel Mangaku – N Channel  the series’ creator Yuji Horii confirmed that Dragon Quest XI is in development, and it’s planned for the 30th anniversary of the series, which will happen in 2016.

Even more interestingly, he mentioned that he wants to develop it the game for the “big screen” indicating that the game is most probably going to land on home consoles, even if no specific mention has been made of the actual platform or platforms.

Personally, I’d definitely welcome a new single player chapter of the Dragon Quest franchise on a home console. It’ll be interesting to see if the game will be developed for a single platform or will go the multiplatform way like the Final Fantasy franchise.

Note: the picture at the top of the article is not from Dragon Quest XI, as no screenshots exist. It’s from Dragon Quest X.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PS4 Screenshots and Artwork Show Rogue, Ninja and More

After announcing the addition of the Rogue class and the Ninja job yesterday Square Enix released a large batch of screenshots and artwork from the PS4 version showcasing them in action.

We also get quite a lot of general screenshots (including a couple shots of the lovely Shiva), and a beautiful poster for patch 2.3.

The rogue and the ninja will be added with patch 2.4, which will presumably come within 3 months. We also get the official version of the dedicated trailer.

Lots of PS4 Games by Japanese 1st and 3rd Parties Coming at TGS; The Last Guardian Progressing Fine

Besides Bloodborne, Sony’s E3 press conference was dominated by western games, but SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida mentioned in an interview on the Japanese site 4Gamer that we shouldn’t worry about Japanese titles.
This time we were focused on introducing titles for the North American region, but of course about Japanese games first parties and also third parties are developing a large number or them. We should be able to show you the latest in that area at Tokyo Game Show 2014.

And before you ask, the development of The Last Guardian is progressing just fine.
Yoshida-san was then asked if the game had been shifted to the PS4, but he declined to answer, saying that he could not add more detail and all he could say is that it’s being properly developed.

Personally, Tokyo Game Show is my favorite event of the year, so I can’t wait to see what Sony and other developers will unveil then. I know it may seem strange to think about Tokyo Game Show right in the middle of E3, but I’m a strange sort of fellow.
