Was thinking about this earlier, but doesn't the fact that Little Finger already had Sansa's escape planned mean that he was involved in Joffery's death?

At first I thought it was only Tywin that was behind it, but now I think it was Little Finger and the Tyrells.

I'm going with Petyr and Lady Olenna as the masterminds behind Joffrey's murder. She just seems like a behind the scenes schemer and Petyr handled the Dontos aspect.

new Daario still looks like he's wearing the old Daario's armor. like production just said f it and let him wear it since it's already done

Yeah, not sure why they wrote the scene that way. The show writers are weird. They did the same thing in season 1 when they wrote that Khal Drogo forced himself in Dani on their wedding day. They change sex scenes to rape scenes when it's not necessary.
that got under my skin as well. in the book Dany said yes. its ok. then Drogo proceeded
To emphasize how Danerys "tamed" a beast.  They don't have as much time as a book to show all the intricacies of Khal Drogos personality and his relationship with Danerys.  So instead they show a dude who's wildin on a hunnit 24/7 then out of nowhere he's simping because his new wife got it like that.

The Jamie scene I don't really get the point of other than to shock, show how messed up his and Cersei's relationship has become and take the easy route in explaining why they become mad/weird with each other.

If they could give more screen time they'd show it's because Jamie's seen some ****, prob has mild ptsd, is depressed bout his hand, is disenchanted with the war and conflicts, bummd about his reputation being a treacherous kingslayer who bones his sister, knows his family has done dirt, sees that his sister lover is ALWAYS just being foul to everyone around her, and that his son was an ******* and its their fault because of incest and poor parenting.

No time for all that though, so the show runners are like rape = we can't be friends anymore.

Yes they are veering away from the book in some aspects. Just slight ones so far though. I'll put a couple from this past episode in a spoiler. It doesn't spoil anything yet to happen though....

In the books, Jamie isn't even at the wedding when Joffrey dies. Jamie doesn't "rape" Cersei either.

Daario isn't the one who fights that champion. It was a dope character named Strong Belwas. He was a eunuch pit fighter who originally would have showed up with Ser Barristan. It has already been confirmed that he has been cut from the show.

Also, I was surprised about Tywin mentioning Daeny, the dragons, and the wildlings approaching the wall lastnight cause in the books, no one seemed to know at that time. It was all considered "hearsay and rumors" but nothing concrete.

Guys... this isn't really a spoiler... but still:
that opening scene was Littlefinger confessing to planning the entire thing. He said Dontos lied and that the jewel necklace was made by him, Littlefinger, and given to Dontos to give to Sansa so that she would be wearing it at the wedding. Him then showing how the werent jewels either but something that easily turned into a powder is also important. He was straight up telling you the necklace had something to do with the poisoning.

Add that to the clearly missing jewel and the fact that "someone" plucked it off Sansa's necklace last week and you have your conspiracy:

Little Finger, Dontos, and maybe another party.

The show spelled it out for all of us. They're prob not gonna delve into the planning of it any further than that. It's not a "whodunnit" anymore. We know who because he told us.

Most interesting storyline right now is Carcetti. Dude is all types of schemin
Agreed.

Maybe it was just that it was his first appearance in a while, but that accent is horrible.

The actor's Irish though. The accent isn't a huge stretch from how he really talks.

He didn't speak like that in the early seasons though. It's way more raspier now ala Dark Knight. It's kind of annoying.

Nako dropping that knowledge on you poor fools, repped for both posts.

On the topic of Jaime: I have a lot of sympathy for the guy, thing is y'all are forgetting his past. Famb was supposed to be the heir of Casterly Rock and the immense fortune that comes with it, but in a plot to slight Tywin, the Mad King inducts him into the Kingsguard, thereby robbing him of his heir. Then famb is kidnapped and gets his hand chopped off, essentially robbing him of the only thing he's truly good at. Famb then finally comes back expecting the yambs and love from his pops but instead everyone sees him as some sort of freak similar to his brother. His supposed nephew, who is really his son, treats him like his *****. The only person who treats Jaime with any ounce of respect is Tyrion, but his ***** sister wants him dead and he's too much of a simp to speak up. So yeah, I can't help but feel bad for the guy.

TL;DR: Jaime's life sucks, I feel bad for famb.

which is crazy to me but you're right.
as someone mentioned earlier. Jaime wasn't even there. so that little conversation about Jamie being too late (in the show) was hogwash.
considering when he showed up she was dumb excited about it. sad about joff but was super excited
as the pic i posted.

I can't blame the show too much but hopefully next episode she explains how she wanted it

I read an interview with the director of the episode. Didn't seem like he knew what was going on in that scene.
