For those wanting to read the books, I would wait it out until each season is done then read the corresponding book. It sucks knowing what is going to happen ahead of time.

I read all five after season three and wish I could recapture that feeling of pain, sorrow and hatred that I felt after watching the Red Wedding

I think it was the Tyrell's. The grandmother knows Jeoffery was psycho and would ruin things if he kept being king. The woman knows how to play the game.

Def thing it was the Pie, I remember the grandmother and her granddaughter talking about "Pigeon Pie". Don't think the granddaughter was in on it tho, just the grandmother. They're married so officially shes the Queen right? Win for House Tyrell.

Now that I think about it, I think jeoffery was killed to quick, I was expecting him to go out another way.

^ Prince Tommen is up next on the line of succession. Margaery as a queen is voided because of Joffrey's death. This means Cersei will act as queen regent until Tommen comes of age.

I started reading book 1 the summer after the first season and had to put it down. I plan on reading the books years from now after the show is completed everything isn't so fresh, honestly I can't wait.

Which is interesting because im assuming House Tyrell gains nothng from his death?

makes you wonder if Cersei and the Lannisters realized Joffrey couldnt be controlled and would rather rule through Tommen.

Prince Tommen is his little brother right? If so, well damn.

Maybe Cersei had something to do with it then.

I still don't get it tho Jeoffery & Mardge made there vows, isn't she queen even if he died? How is it voided?

The queen has no real power in Westerosi society. Years of inbreeding between Targs caused a perfect bloodline of male successors to the throne. The males are usually always the dominant rulers, unless the queen has greater power.

Robert was the first king in hundreds of years who wasn't a Targ

Rhaegar (eldest son of the mad king.. And the one who Robert baratheon killed) was apparently that dude.. Check out comicbookgirl19's epic histories of the various houses..

No one was too sad to see the mad king gone, because obviously he was bat crap crazy.. But folks seemed to have hope in rhaegar

His brother's son and the children are rhaegar and his kids:

I'd suggest reading all of them now. I read through the books after watching the first season and while I know the major plot points, I barely remember a lot of the stuff in between, or all the names of people and characters that were mentioned in the book. Its nice watching the show now and remembering characters and some of the plot. Even admiring some of the differences the producers made.

welp, looks like I have to avoid this thread now...

show is too good for you dudes to ruin it.

good night sirs

Now that I'm trying to remember, did South Park spoil his death correctly as it happened in the episode tonight?
Not sure, but SP is how I got spoiled on it. :smh:

Didn't know it'd happen that soon, though. :wow:

No shade on Dan Weiss, but it's night and day between how he directed the premiere, and how Alex Graves directed this last ep. Last week's looked like regular TV. This ep was a movie from the very first scene on. The little cut shots, the transitions, the style, the performances, all of it. I mean, it was a 'Shae still sucks at acting' away from every char who showed up killing it.

The reaction shots to the dwarf war of the five kings was all-time. Top 5 GoT ep ever, imo. Like now this show is back. :smokin And Iono know how to feel about Joff dying...as much as I hated dude, Jackie Gleeson owned the screen. And I'm almost shook by the vacuum his death is gonna cause. All that pity for Cersei went down the drain, and if anyone ***** with Margaery... :smh:

And it's a joke how much the Bolton household is the Legion of Doom. Just a parade of diabolical *************.

And even though it's played out now, this got me:

Oh yeah, and on spoilers...I mostly avoided em til South Park did it to me. But with the whole "who did it"...it's kinda ****** up?

I mean, there's no good way to talk about it. Half of the audience def knows. And yeah the ep gave clues, but people are running in like that's an excuse to spoil. A hint =/= the writers/director telling us. Even if it was something easy to guess, I don't get acting like people are dummies if they don't wanna pour concrete on their theories or feeling about it. Some people just wanna let the show play out, and keep the mystery for themselves.

Cuz even if you say the show "told" us who did it, why don't you just let them? Cuz the show "told" us Ned was gonna die, when they let him get speared, and had him hobbling around all sickly. They "told" us bad **** was gonna go down at the Frey wedding when Cat and the Blackfish were talking about oath-breaking and how awful Walder was.

Congratulations...you know what's going to happen on Game of Thrones. Let it be okay if other people don't.

I watched the episode again and it definitely looks like Olenna has something in her hand while talking to Sansa

SMH at all this spoiler talk - as soon as I heard the music I knew somebody was dying, then when Olenna was talking to Sansa about the murder of her brother on his wedding day, I knew she was up to something.  All the signs pointed to her and it was well done by the writers.  Sansa had no idea, if she did she would have been cheesing the entire ep

and lol@ the sausages after theon scenes

I love this show!!
