Also, I feel like that big lady bolton could have taken down those dogs.  She had like 400 pounds on them.

In Westeros and in our World, there is a reason why very rich men will put up with Kings and other strong men. Without a centralized authority, buttressed by quasi religious legitimacy, the very rich and powerful can be easily killed, with impunity, by the somewhat rich and powerful. War and the chaos that comes in its wake is the greatest source of social mobility among the elite and men like Balon Greyjoy, Roose Bolton and Doran Martell choose to live outside of the throne's protection.

BTW Jon Snow story's latest turn and his aesthetic remind me of the Prince of Persia Trilogy (The 2003-2006 Trilogy).

Allso, we must be careful and not give Melisandre all of the credit, it is possible that the Night King and his ice based magic have also jumped into Jon's wounds and he might become a sort of quasi Wight.
