I'm saying. You guys accept Giants,Dragons,skinchangers,children of the forest,wizards and all but reanimating the dead is too much?
Reviving the dead is way more powerful than any of that
And it also cheapens the revived characters, why even kill off Jon Snow in the first place?
So he doesn't have to rot away in Castle Black for the rest of the series.

Rewatching the ep, Balon Greyjoy is an idiot. In the GoT world, there's good enough technology to have way more sturdier bridges especially during a storm. That pathway was like the ones you see over a cliff on the way to some forbidden area only fools and adventurers travel across This is a bridge in your own castle b
With a better bridge he could've at least fought his brother before dying. Bridge looks like it's only made for one person to cross one at a time.
That may not be in GRRM's plans. He may have revived Jon just to confirm that theory that's been going on for some time just to kill off each and every single remaining Targareyn.
I do see how reviving somebody from the dead cheapens their death and death across the board. The rules have changed. We gotta see how it's used from here on out. Obviously there's gonna need to be a circumstance that's somewhat common where a red priest(ess) can't bring someone back.

GRRM has always said the series will have a bittersweet ending ..Jon has a part to play in the war against the others ..but I doubt he's alive at the end of the series

This. My hope is that the ending is more sweet than bitter, but I'm trying hard to manage my expectations and prepare for some more ****** up stuff to happen to the characters I like.

And related to Jon's resurrection, when the concept of coming back from the dead first came up in the show -- with Berric Dondarion -- wasn't it explained that there are limits to that power? Like, there are certain kinds of deaths that there is no coming back from? I seem to remember that, but its been a while.
