I do not believe in the paranormal and I read the books more than one year ago and yet, the ending was a nightmare and the hair on the back of my neck stood on end.

This feels like I am a small child and it is Halloween here in early summer. The ghosts of classical literature, derived from human experience were like phantoms tonight. Just as Tywin Lannister's wrath and reach cross over the God's Eye, over the Ruby fork and far up the Green Fork, this episode's truths acted in a similar fashion. Even in a world created out of whole cloth, this fantasy saga is adorned with truth and truth is vicious and tonight it drifted from the history books, through GRRM's mind, onto the page, through this show and out the TV screen and it strangled me.

As much as I loved Robb Stark, I am reminded of another HBO triumph and had to just shake my head and concede that this was all in the game, all in the game.

Well, just watched it.

DID THIS DUDE JUST DID THIS

HOLY **** WHAT THE **** JESUS ******G CHRIST NOOOOOOOO

Robb died an oath breaker though. If he didn't he'd be alive now.

Ned continues to be the only honorable character in that setting in the story to date. Although it's questionable about how he tried to help Cersi when he went to tell Robert the truth.
There's a thin line between being honorable and stupid when you're a Stark.

Ned could have lived had he not trusted Littlefinger and told Cersei about his plan. What a fool.

Because of Honor and Duty, Robb died.

He basically bungled all his alliances and threw it all away for a piece of ***.

On top of that, he also executed Karstark, the man who owns half his army.

great episode regardless of the red wedding.

i knew it was coming cause i click on all spoilers and read the wiki from time to time. sometimes i wish i don't. for instance, now.

while i enjoyed the ending, i must be a heartless son of a ***** cause it did nothing for me emotionally. i was just watching it with a blank stare the whole time. if i hadn't have known it was coming, i probably would've been way more surprised at it happening.

i also have future events spoiled for myself as well. i need to stop. :smh: i want to be surprised again.

Bolton with the mafia style killing

exactly what i was thinking. hit 'em with the straight higher-up mandated, prison-style murder.

I just remembered the best part of the episode..

"Hush, Hodor. No more Hodoring!"

i 'd as well.

Funny how Lord Frey trolled the Tully Groom by only showing the ugly ones at first. Hahaha!

Lord Frey's facial expression when Robb saw the bride. Priceless.

The part they left out that people are referring to would be a good beginning to the finale. Zoomed in so you can't tell and then it slowly zooms out...

The hound basically summing up what was going to happen to Arya in the beginning of the episode talking about fear and being so close yet so far. Damn. :frown:

All I can think about. :frown:
The Hound is wise.

LMFAO! There's only one decent Frey Girl.
They were keeping her under wraps and only displaying the ugly ones. Trying to see if Edmure would keep his word after seeing the beasts . At least walder frey was nice enough to give him the best one.

I'm probably the only one who didn't have high emotions during this episode. The downside of reading the books is the shock factor is gone. The execution of Ned was probably still the best tv episode i've watched since i couldn't believe what I saw.

Don't want exact details but for anyone that has read the books, do the Lannisters take ANY L's on their side anytime soon? **** seems so damn one sided right now, the Starks only got two men left and one can't eem walk :smh:

It escalated real quick it felt like I was listening to meek mill dreams and nightmare intro. Like Frey killed robbs wife & then hit him with the "hold up wait a minute ya'll thought I was finished" and started going ham

I need to see someone dub that song over this scene

I kind of felt worse for the wolf than Robb to be honest  And even if you didn't know it was coming, as soon as his wife said she'd name their son after his father that should have been a major red flag

I think it hit me why I'm not so devastated about Robb... because he broke his oath. That probably didn't deserve the death of his wife, mother, and unborn child, plus all of his men  but I was crushed when Ned was killed because he was trying to do the right thing, the honorable thing, and Joffrey broke his word and killed him anyway. Ned couldn't play the game and while a tragic flaw, didn't deserve death. Robb should have known better. He did know better, but he got caught up with love. Again, that could be considered another character flaw... but I don't know. I think it'll probably hit me when I rewatch it or next episode, and maybe I just wasn't as invested in Robb as I should have been.
That's the thing though, he DOES do the honorable thing. At least in the book anyway he has sex with Jeyne Westerling and instead of just leaving her he marries her because a highborn lady that's not a virgin is useless. That and the fact that he wouldn't be able to live with himself of he had impregnated her and she had a bastard. So really he was stuck at that point.

It was s

All I know is this story better wrap up with Joffrey dieing a painful death,Tyrion's pops recognizing how awesome he is, Jon Snow putting one in the redhead, and Dany on the thrones.

I'm with you on most of that, but Tywin doesn't think ANYONE is awesome. He pretty much just tolerates everyone else. It's one reason that, while I hate him, I grudgingly have to admire him to a degree.
