I was thinking the same. It reminded me of somebody who jumps into a raging river heroically, just to get swept down the river and out of site. I would have preferred summer to at least mess some of the dudes before just getting lit up.

But like you said, it literally was a like a raging river of wights coming at her. She had no chance. That said, the wights get taken out pretty easily, so she may actually have gotten at least a few in that pile.

The prophecy specifically talks about the kids Cersei had with Jaime.
