can't wait till they kill that awb off.

i read an article how dany mirrors the US in the middle east.

basically...

white people go to "save" brown people when dany knows nothing about the lifestyle of brown people

but dany feel entitled and empowered because dany has dragons (US has nukes and military power)

so basically dany is the US's failing attempts to turn the middle east to a democracy using dragons (military power)

brown people fight back

sons of harpy = "terrorists"

That's not the first time I've heard the theory of Dany being a 'white savior.'

Never heard all the US and nuclear weapon parallels, though.

Sidenote: Dany is a pretty boring character. Her story is only redeemed by the people around her: Varys, Jorah, Tyrion, Daario, Dragons. If it were just her ruling and daydreaming about Daario, I'd gouge my eyes out. Some of her chapters in the books were unbearable.

Yeah, GRRM really led her character toward a downward slope. Her story went from being an anticipated / exciting one to a story most stopped giving dambs about until she leaves the Free Cities.

I've always thought Danny's extended quagmire was a allusion to US invasion of iraq.

when you look a it through that lense its interesting to watch.

Dany speaking valyrian is some cringe worthy ****.

And you bois have know lil' finga has been 10 steps ahead since he sold off salsa. Every move has been calculated thus far

His plans are all irrelevant though. There's no doubt he's a step ahead of his opponents south of the wall, but all of that is about to go out the window. Is he even aware of what's coming from beyond the wall? I'm actually looking forward to Little Fingers death even more than Cersei's.

Everyones plans are irrelevant outside of jon snow's line and the 3 dragons finally (if ever) making it across the narrow sea

I also think Salsa lures Finga with the yambs and kills him at some point

I may not be remembering right, but I don't think Dany originally went to the Free Cities with the intention of being the "savior" for the people there. She was trying to build up her army and wealth so she could go to Westeros and take over there. Then in the process it occurred to her to free the slaves, the initial reactions she got from it were good and then continued to go down that road. And for much of that process, she didn't have anyone really advising her besides Jorah, who basically -- at the end of the day -- would co-sign whatever she wanted. Then things took a turn for the worse.

I think the whole point of her story for the last couple season is you need to understand the people you're ruling if you want to be effective and can't just act out of "noble" intentions. Its a valid point, but has been fairly boring in execution compared to other plot lines.

You fools simping for awg dany only because she got naked on the screen.

I hated her ever since she allowed the witch healer to perform blood magic on drogo.

I love when characters put her in her place. Spice merchant was my favorite. Using logic and fairness to conduct business but somehow he gets made to look like a prick.

She always bragging about saving people and have the audacity to give herself the title breaker of chain.

She aint save shh

Hate that pompous messiah complex b word.

Never considered that comparison but it makes pretty good sense.

Hopefully she does what we never did and GETS HER *** TO WESTEROS.

If Theon goes to the Iron Islands for the Kingsmoot, maybe he takes on Victarion's plot?

Preach. There is nothing to admire about her on the show other than her getting naked.

And lmao @ "who is man is this?"

smh at yall talking about Dany like this

Yall need to realize at this point of the story she's probably like 15-16 years old and doesnt have any experience in ruling so of course she doesn't just magically know how at Slaver's Bay.

And how else is she supposed to feel about herself considering the lineage she comes from.  Before the doom, Valyria was the greatest empire in the world.  Valyria was ruled by 40 Dragon Lord houses.  Targaryens were only a minor house out of the 40 Dragon Lords but nonetheless they were still Dragon Lords.  The doom however wiped out the other 39.  Now she's as we know the only Valyrian Princess left in the world and last in the lineage of the Dragon Lords

so she gets a pass because she's a dumb entitled ***** from a strong family?

nah

Trying to end slavery in a region is a nice gesture though, especially when she sees dying kids posted along roads. She thought it would be all good to take away their biggest industry and didn't think to establish another way for people to make money or install an infrastructure to maintain order.
