KEVIN GATES is the future and the hardest rapper in years

It is a lot female/relationship songs on here but Gates does it in a raw and honest way. **** don't sound corny and commercial.

I listened to like the first 4-5 songs I was about to put it on my phone so I could ride to it but it was sounding pretty weak. Started to get better thought towards that 4th and 5th song I gotta listen fully. 2 phones and really really got my expectations up there. Even the trey songs ty $ song is dope

"**** his family members
They can wear his shirt"

Jesus!!

You seen page before this ... That's my favorite line ... He cooked that track!!! **** makes you feel some sort of way when you listen to it .. Had to shut it off and listen to some soft **** afterwards. Put on some Drake or something.

2 Phones
Kno One
One Thing
Thought I Heard
Ain't Too Hard

All those are cool tracks. Still haven't heard a complete project I really liked from him. His guest spots are way better than anything I've heard from any of his tapes

album isn't better than damn near any of the tapes

bout 6 cuts on it

first album I bought that I was disappointed in

why gates?

LB2>LB1>Islah

LB1 started it all for me but it's got 3-4 outright bad misses.

Islah is damn good front to back though.

Lb1 is what put me on to him too

I haven't heard the new CD yet but I think LB1 is his best work since 2013

Really just Ugly But She Fine and Wylin. Both pretty horrible to me. Percy Keith also makes Narco Trafficante impossible to listen to all the way through.

It's hard to criticize a 22 song project over a couple of tracks without nitpicking but to me if you cut LB1 down to 17-18 tracks it's FLAWLESS.

Regardless it's still a modern classic to me.

Surprising. Thought it would be more in the 50k range.

Is dude signed to Atlantic or what is that situation? Everything I see just says Bread Winners Association.

They're in partnership, Atlantic and BWA. I'll ask my cousin this weekend, he's the CEO of BWA.

Ugly but she fine was my joint, got the og no bounce and the legend on it. I love Percy Keith flow for some reason, his verse was very listenable. Lb1 is a personal classic. But pouring the syrup off 2 is the goat gates song to me.

You really ain't like Marshall Mathers bruh?? I think that was the song that made me give Gates a try.

I don't know why he ain't put this at the end of LB2

Marshall Mathers really ??? Ill listen to it again and see if I like it..the song that made me a fan I think was paper chasers

but Ive been lookin for reasonable suspicion for like 2 weeks now lol

I kept searching kevin gates dead presidents freestyle and nothing would come up

I would pay for a kevin gates starlito album..it seems like starlito brings the best out of him

LB1>>>Lb2

Only "miss" IMO, was What's Understood. But again, it's a 22 track project. You could drop the 6 weakest tracks, throw on Satellites as a single and have a 10/10 album.

Whats understood was my favorite song on there for a good minute lol

lb1 deserves more praise than it gets, I think most people jumped on board around stranger than fiction/by any means

By Any Means lowkey underrated to me. Again and Get Up On My Level the only top tier tracks on there imo but he was lowkey spazzing the whole way through.

Stranger Than Fiction also. I don't think I'll ever get tired of the Srokin beat.

My personal best of Gate CD would loosely look something like this, not including anything off Islah cause it's too new.

Perfect Imperfection

Pourin the Syrup

Makin Love

IDGAF

Paper Chasers

Neon Lights

Around Me

Hero

I Don't Get Tired

John Gotti

4:30am

Roaming Around

Again

Get Up On My Level

Dangerous

Satellite

Love You

Would You Mind

exactly

not much on the album to salvage to me tho

the intro set the tone and it fails to match the pace

the intro is so layered and mean, he played with alotta flows on that joint

So we just gonna act like the last verse of Excuse Me isn't damn near the hardest verse on the album? Son destroyed it.
