Adidas Energy BOOST

Adidas just released their new running shoes that is intended to compete with the Nike Lunarglide called Energy Boost. The midsole is a new technology called boost which consist of 2500 small individual TPU pellets fused together to form a new "foam." It's science is legit; Adidas partnered up with German based company BASF to create this new midsole. Adidas advertises that this shoe is to give you the most response in any running shoe thats on the market. In my opinion these shoes are insane. I had lunar glides in the past and even though they were the most comfortable shoes I've ever had the Boost is better. Not only do you get that soft cushioning you would expect to find in a lunar glide but these things are freaking responsive! It also includes a techfit upper which is what you would find on Adidas compression shirts (like Nike Pro-Combat). As soon as you take a step you literally feel that bounce back that isn't just a "feeling faster" sensation. It's actually a bit of a boost. I advise you all who aren't a fan of the three stripes to just try them on. You love them. Here are some pics...

shoes are awesome. tried it on at the Adidas store. You can totally feel the difference between these and any shoe. Extreme bounce back/response with each step.

They also have teal/turquoise color for women which I think is a lot better looking. If in doubt wait for coupon.

I might try them on to see how they feel, but I understand this is a neutral shoe. If they incorporate this technology into a stability shoe, I might pick up a pair.

I have already seen a few reviews in running magazines and they all are giving these really high praise.

I tried them on today. Holy crap are they nice. Quite possibly the most comfortable shoe I've ever tried on. This boost tech feels better than any of NIke's lunar stuff, IMO. I couldn't pull the trigger since I have pretty flat feet but I found out there is a stability trainer coming later this year using the Boost technology called the Adistar Boost. Those I plan on buying. Even if you're a NIke head, you have to at least try these on. Adidas could be on to something here.

Yeah tried these on at my local running store. They are quite amazing. Had the mistake of trying on a pair of flyknit racers on after. They just did not compare. Adidas is really on to something. Just haven't pulled the trigger on them but I plan too soon. if they go on sale or come out with a color way that I can't say no too ill buy ASAP. Can't wait for the adistar and adios boost. I would also like to see them put this tech into their basketball shoes.

Can't believe this thread doesn't have more action, what an amazing shoe. Looking out for that +o- navy colorway, just beautiful.

So Kith has stocked the +0- version, but they're $100 more than the normal ones

Just for a different upper material? Seems ridiculous.

The outlet by me lowered the electric/black boosts to $110 a month or so ago. Wish they had more colorways - they women's boosts seem to have some nice shades of blue. If the boosts drop to $60-70, I could probably put that ugly colorway into my running rotation. I tried them on a couple times and they're super comfortable - I'd love to try them out on a run.

The black/white/blue & white/black/orange supernova colorways are pretty awesome, but I haven't seen them in person& no way I'm spending that much on shoes without trying them on first:

I wish Sports Authority, Footlocker, and Finishline carried more adidas running shoes in store. It was a pleasant surprise to actually see springblades in stores.

Yeah, the Supernovas look really nice, but I'm stuck on the Energy Boost aesthetic and tech. The comfort is unreal. Really interested in the Consortium +0- pair, but a $100 increase for tweaked upper seems absurd.

What are the differences between adios vs 2.0 vs supernova glide vs adistar?

Also has anyone bought these just to use a comfortable everyday casual shoe? How are they for that?

Check sneakerreport.com, we've got you covered as far as the differences, I'm on my phone so I'm not 100% on the specifics.

They would definitely awesome as an everyday shoe. I don't have a pair yet, but mine will be getting plenty of casual use when I do.

my time to buy a pair or two of these for running is getting close! one of my friends just let me know the outlet nearby added 3 more colors (they've had yellow/black/white for a while...) of the energy boost: black/black/white, black/white/yellow, and red/white/black... I need to get down there and get the black or black/yellow.

Best colorway for energy boost 2 - they need to put these out for men:

I really like this colorway, I feel like you could get a lot of casual run out of these too, but $260 is just too much for me. Can't believe they're slowly selling at that price, I wouldn't think this shoe would really connect with the usual Kith audience.

Anyone seen em anywhere else? Was hoping to find a 9 or 9.5 on sale eventually, but that's looking it's not in the cards.

I bought my original energy boost as a go-to runner, but have actually ended up using them more casually -- walking the dog, other stuff

Love them for that almost more than as a runner

I purchased the firstversion in red with volt laces and loved running in them, heard they are being added to basketball sneaker had me excited as a volleyball player. Had a chance to recently test out a pair made for volleyball, lived that Adidas is giving other sports even small ones like volleyball a chance to play in boost foam will be doing a full break in with these before reporting back

those yellow volleyball boosts look nice - Glad they're going with something other than electric yellow or slime for a change. I hope adidas puts out a fairway green version of some of the boost shoes. :D

Anyone have thoughts on the new Pure Boost model coming 5/14?  I'm definitely intrigued... looks extremely comfortable.  Running performance-wise, the boost base seems to cover the entirety of the underfoot.  This looks amazing, but they might not be quite as supportive if you need some stability out of your runners.   Gonna have to give a pair a try and will report back.  Definitely a dream casual shoe for me (at least I'm anticipating).  As a runner, some of the other boost models may serve better for the purpose.

Really dope but more of a "roshe" type shoe as supposed to a pure running shoe.

Yeah no doubt -- intended for casual mostly it seems

I haven't been big on roshes, but a comfortable shoe like that with boost would seem to be heavenly on foot

I agree--

Does anyone know where to find the +0- version?  They were once on Kith, but it seems they've sold out.

Also--do they tend to fit like most adidas shoes (1/2 size larger) or are these TTS?
