they finally put up a MCW swingman on the nba store....the cut looks boxy though smh.....i just want them to go back to the old mesh they used on swingmans

What's up, I've been on NT for a long time, never created an account, but I'm trying to build a solid jersey collection. I always see these legit checks, and sometimes I can tell, sometimes I can't, but what do you guys look for to tell? I don't want to build a collection by spending retail, and I figure I should know how to spot fakes if I'm buying at discounted prices. What signs jump out right away as fake or not? Thanks.

The cut/shape is the telltale sign for me. There are some half decent fakes out there with sewn on names/numbers and the same mesh you find on real swingman jerseys, but they always have slightly wider shoulders and scruffy jocktags or bad stitching on the inside. You'll get to know the signs pretty quickly once you immerse yourself into it. You can always ask for a legit check on here if you're unsure on an ebay item.

its not fake, its the HWC brand of jerseys they made. it was talked about awhile back either in here or the authentic thread. they made a bunch of high quality M&N type jerseys at low price. Its a NBA licensed product but no idea who the actual company is. My little brother owned a Jerry West which i actually have somewhere, bought from a legit retailer back in the day.

The way the numbers sit on the jersey seem to be different too. I'm curious to see real life pics of the new swingmans. Also don't know if the sizing is still wack

True, i really wish that photo was bigger so i could have a better look, at first glimpse it looked like a fake M&N size 52 to 60 with the HWC tag stitched in. which to be fair is real common to find at my local knock off shop

Its the same but idk why the numbers and everything are tiny.

I dont know if they made adult but i know they had youth jerseys and quality was pretty good minus some like the Nuggets looked like crap.

the inside tag is legit so i dont know if they ever made fakes replicating those brand of jerseys.

got my lebron lol ....my first swingman in a while...it actually fits like a small which is weird lol....hopefully i can get an mcw sometime this year

also slid in the old cavs jersey....it was a jersey i got from a friend, i didn't pay it no mind until i seen the cavs were bringing it back this year

I have that exact Alex English jersey, bought awhile back from a legit store (I can't remember exactly where) but I've wondered about it. I figured the hardwood classics tag was legit but it wasn't a Mitchell & Ness.

I think I had a Julius Erving Sixers joint from this "brand" as well like 8+ years ago?
