Don't forget the social significance of Webber's college team
Yup. They changed the landscape of college hoops. To this day, I don't own a pair of white socks. It's because of them.

I think Webber eventually gets in...not on his first year of elgibility, but eventually. . Putting himself out there with the media in his post-playing career will help his cause as well.

Thats awesome
Actually I don't think Vince Carter is either
Nah B. Vince is going in whether anyone likes it or not
There are players who aren't nearly as good as Webber in the Hall. He'll get in eventually.
Who are the HOFers not as good as Webber?
We can name a bunch of people. If we just started leaning towards the people who are in the hall solely becuase of their college careers while their NBA careers werent that impressive like Bill Bradley then we can at least bring up 6 names.

After being around here for so long you start to pick up on certain members habits.  Like even before I entered this thread I knew DoubleJ's would post in here and I knew without a doubt that he would mention that he doesn't own a pair of white socks because of the Fab 5

.  My man.

I think Webber will get in eventually, it will definitely take him a few tries however.

It's weird....it's a sports trend that carried over into all aspects of my day-to-day life. Off hand, I can't think of any other sports trends that could have that same impact on people outside of the field/court.

What? C Webb was a more efficient scorer, better passer, rebounder & defender than Jamison... Prime vs prime c webb was better.

bro he was nothing special.

he never really accomplished anything in the pro level.

5× NBA All-Star (1997, 2000–2003)
NBA Rookie of the Year (1994)
NBA rebounding champion (1999)
All-NBA First Team (2001)
3× All-NBA Second Team (1999, 2002–2003)
All-NBA Third Team (2000)
NBA All-Rookie First Team (1994)
Consensus NCAA All-American First Team (1993)
Mr. Basketball of Michigan (1991)
#4 Retired by the Sacramento Kings

this is not a hall of fame worthy c

if chris webber is a hall of famer I'm going to have to reevaluate what the hall of fame represents

great player? yes. all timer? not in terms of actual production. i think of hall of famers as dominant, webber was a great player on some great kings squads, but he's not a hall of famer

The thing is bro....thats more than Jamison accomplished at the pro level. In fact, its not even close. Although Jamison has more personal accomplishments than Webber did at the college level, the impact left on college basketball was FAR greater by Webber.

I am a huge Jamison fan, but their chances of getting into the hall arent close. For the sake of argument, I would put Webber at like 85% and Jamison at like 40%.
