Amazon Prime: "Vikings" S6 *The Final 10 Episodes*...Premieres on Wednesday, December 30, 2020...

I just watched the first season (part of it) and the only time they show "Odin" so far is at the first battle scene with him and Rollo and he sees "Odin" walking through with the crow on his shoulder and sees and Valkyrie taking up their "spirit"(?). Then on the shore line where he thinks he received the message that they were doing the right thing going West.

That dude they showed might just be some other character they are introducing.

Why's everyone hating on Ivar, read up on him his story is fascinating. Yeah he's a creepy kid, but he grows up to be one of the most ruthless, cunning war taction vikings EVER, he and Ubbe lead the great heathen army. I'd say more but it'd probably be spoilers you may not want to hear. No matter if JRM does play him or not, I can't wait to see his story unfold. Hirst even said like 2 seasons ago, he couldn't wait to get to Ivars story.

BTW I doubt he and lagertha actually go at it, but I wouldn't put it past him to kill her in her sleep or something along those lines.

I actually read up on some of it on Wikipedia. Not a huge historian, you know. I read the story of him. It interesting to see how it will unfold. I guess my biggest thing is how he can be all That and not walk. That also might explain why he might have been underestimated by others as well.

I mean some weird stuff or stipulations need to happen for him to beat decent fighters in a one on one fight. We've seen him kill a toddler and people who were sleeping. He can't be that great of a fighter if he needs to be carried like a backpack into battles. His battle planning and strategy were probably good but his fighting skills were probably aight. He probably got carried around by a Hodor sized beast.

It all comes down to the kid playing Ivar. Nothing more.

I just wonder why Ragnar never questioned his parentage based on what happens in the show.

Well the kid will be grown soon, maybe before the season ends, to me his demeanor and mind is the closest to Ragnar than all his sons. I think he did question him at first, but once they spent time together I don't think he had any doubts. Other than Bjorn & ivar all his sons seem kinda boring to me. I keep getting Sigurd and hvitzerk confused lol...

Well yeah, once the actors change to depict older Ivar the hate will die down unless they cchoose and even worse/creepier actor to portray the adult version.

Facts, Ivar is that dude.

Odin gave his eye to acquire knowledge, but I would give far more.

-Ragnar

Looking back, watching the show from the beginning, gives the whole thing a different perspective.

He just said Ragnar is gonna be in for a surprise when he goes to Valhalla and sees he is wrong.

Explain the allegory in that

Ragnar dead. We might see him in flashbacks and as a faint image to somebody hallucinating.

I was kidding b, comment was tongue in cheek. Do you really think I'm Pagan?

I couldn't tell if you thought they would actually depict that in the show or not.

Which is why I replied with a  in the post.

Ohhh alright I got you.

Yeah nah,

Lot of interesting religious visions/imagery in the show however. I do wonder if Ragnar will appear to Ivar or perhaps Bjorn or Lagertha in a vision of sorts.

Low key hurt Ragnar ain't connect with Lagertha before he left but I understand why. He ain't want to hurt her again by getting too close nor did he want to **** up his plans by finding a reason to stay.

Yeah. I like the ambiguity of religious signs and epiphinaies. Like the one with Athelstan regaining his faith just cuz he saw some light shine in his room a certain way.

The thing about it is it's never concrete proof. Just how one interprets it.

As far as other Ragnar sons, I think the writers wanted to limit some things. They'd have to introduce Ragnar's other wife, Thora, I think. That wouldn't mesh with the simple story they told. Ragnar was with Lagertha, had two kids and a bunch of still born kids with only one son. He moves on to Aslaug who becomes his queen and gives him 4 sons. Lagertha kills Aslaug and takes the throne.

Floki about to become a Muslim

This is like whate Ragnar did with Athelstan on a larger scale.

That dude and his brother gonna be tight When he realize all these ppl crazy.

I must say, since I restarted it from the beginning, I prefer the Ragnar story. Maybe it's me and how I prefer a story. I just thought Ragnar was awesome.

This was odd. Isn't that why Room I hated Athelstan?! So I'm guessing that one guy was Odin.

Totally looks like they're gonna kill Lagertha and just abandon the whole king and queen thing of Kattegat to make way for the king of Norway dude.

Floki is a muslim. After all that **** he talked about the Christ God he heard one Azaan and he went switched sides .

Crazy episode. The second half of this season man, just insane.

So was that indeed Odin? Yes?

Or a messenger of Odin?

I didn't catch what he said to Ivar, where is Ragnar laying? Somewhere cold?

Ivar v Lagertha huh? Had to come to this. Fitting that Lagertha meets her demise by Ragnar's son. No other death would do. The reign of Ivar awaits. :smokin
