Amazon Prime: "Vikings" S6 *The Final 10 Episodes*...Premieres on Wednesday, December 30, 2020...

Just finished. The ending was ok, I guess. Could have been much worse.

Hvitserk being named Athelstan 😑
Wish that dude would have died.

I knew they were gonna find Floki weird *** over there. That part was cool tho. Kinda ties into the real life viking settlements found up there with the carvings and all that.

Wanted to see the natives reaction to the real blood eagle. Mad they didnt split his **** open.

Whatever happened to Rollo bich ***?

Rollo ***** *** fate was based on a real Viking that converted and stayed in France as a duke or something. Thats basically what he did. He had that cameo when he came back to Kattegat but thats it.

I wish the other Ragnar son Ivar killed never died now. They didn't try to make Ubbe in to a great warrior either. So I'm left with lame sons and nobody to carry on Ragnar's or Bjorn's legacies.

Also the great Viking army just is donezo and no leader going forward. That's not how it happened historically.

Yea, I remember Rollo coming back, leaving then nothing.

You're talking about Sigurd Snake in the Eye that was killed by Ivar. I was hoping Ubbe would have came back once he heard that Bjorn was dead. Let the settlers find Floki in Greenland and move forward with him.

Ubbe could have ruled one of those Danelaw territories in Northern England.

It wasn't really hinted at in the show but Alfred really did baptize a Viking king, Guthrum. He changed his name to Athelstan and they signed a treaty allowing Guthrum to keep East Anglia. They should have tried to incorporated that too.

I didnt notice until today that Ubbe = William from Lovecraft. 😮

I was aware. I actually like how Alfred was handled way better on The Last Kingdom.

They got a fictional storyline at its core but they followed the history well with Alfred trying to form the kingdom of England while warring with Danes/Vikings.

Yeah Sigurd. Easy to forget about him. Just about none of Ragnar's sons actually die the way they do on the show  I guess they just wanted to wrap things up (not to mention he had more sons). Also the war with Marcia and other mini England kingdom's continue, Ragnar definitely had like a grandson named Ragnar that fought as well.

All got the shaft. Like they killed lil Asa for no reason during that storm  Just randomly seeing some sea dragon/King.

Hvitserk after Ubba wifed Margrethe:

Edit:
"Oh, how the little piggies will grunt, when they hear how the Old Boar suffered." :emoji_fire: Too cold.

Finally finished the last season...kinda glad its over, it was so long and drawn out with a bunch of uninteresting characters and storylines.

Wondering if the writers of the show are suggesting that Hvitserk getting baptized is just a ploy to infiltrate the Saxsons. They showed the flashback of Ragnar getting baptized right before Hvitserk which is making me think so.

Overall, the show was a good ride but fell off big time towards the end. Definitely tuning into the spinoff when it airs though.

I was about to ask about Vikings: Valhalla after seeing the trailer.

I dunno know about it. Travis Fimmel was a nobody back then but he just screamed compelling main character with star power. Same with Winnick as Lagertha.

Will give it a shot though.

How is this thread not popped off a little but with. Valhalla now playing?

Does it need its own thread?
This one was pretty hard for me to find again, since being in subbed.
