Amazon Prime: "Vikings" S6 *The Final 10 Episodes*...Premieres on Wednesday, December 30, 2020...

Great premiere. Jumped right back in to the thick of things.

You can already see the seeds being sown for some future conflicts with characters. That one prince is gonna eventually beef with Athelstan, the King is definitely gonna try to smash Lagertha. The princess/Queen of Mercia clearly wants that Ragnar D. It's clear Bjorn is gonna have a hard time with his wife wanting to be a warrior while being pregnant  :smh:

I just wonder where things will go with Floki and Rollo.

Can't wait until they raid France :pimp:

That French princess is scheming. Last season she said she wanted to breed with the pagans. Now that Ragnar is king she'll probably be offering her yambs on a plate to him.

Was the prince's wife checking out Athlestan? I wonder if she's the one he's resisting from the previews.
It definitely looked like Athlestan to me and yeah the French princess probably would let Ragnar's whole teams smash. She did look a bit intimidated this ep though.

I don't think her husband is gay. He seemed displeased enough and he's probably aware of the rumors that have spread about Athlestan since he left since he's the dude that's been crucified and survived.

Who were they guys scheming in the boat against Lagertha?

I can't remember the names but the guy with the longer hair is the one Lagertha left in charge. He's her second in command. The guy with the big beard was her dead husband's nephew and is still mad since it seemed like Lagertha made him think last season she would marry him. He's the one who cut off his uncle's head after she stabbed him in the eye. His family still has a lot of influence.

I thought one of the guys was her second in command

I was hoping I was wrong

Second in command is slick man

Maaaan Ragnar and Lagertha need to stop playing and get back together.

He got his kids, Aslaug is wack as hell.

But lowkey and maybe high key, the casting for this show is nice.

Them fools really don't know though.

If they kill Lagertha or even hurt her, Ragnar is coming with the whole squad to wipe that village out

Ragnar still trying to get that 3sum maybe even a 4sum going  :pimp:

king ecbert wants those Lagertha yambs. I like how he's blatant about it.

I fell asleep last night before last seasons pre-clips finished.

Excited I still get to watch this ep as new.

Can someone explain what's up with Lagertha and that guy

We have seen them communicate fine and then other times they ask the priest to translate

Am I missing something?

Lagertha knows very little of the King's language but the King somehow (I'm guessing Athelstan taught him and he's a very quick learner) knows a bit more of her viking language. So some times when he wants to be more direct and I guess meaningful he uses his struggle vikingnese to talk to her. Meanwhile, Lagertha only knows a few phrases. I think things would be a bit more clear if they used translation captions to show you how bad they both are at speaking each others language.

When Athlestan does translate, it's usually about more formal things most times like the king talking about the fields. He only flirted with her once through Athlestan to just let her know he wanted to smash.

I appreciate the attention to detail. Cuz when Athlestan does translate, you can tell Ecbert is speaking a completely different language than what Lagertha is speaking. It's not just like they're just making up sounds as they go. Reminds me of GoT, where Emilia Clark (Danerys) actually learned all those made up languages.

Thanks for clearing that up

It's interesting how they handled the language differences and what language the audience is hearing them speak to emphasize it.

Wow things sure did escalate quickly.

At this point there's no way King Ecbert can be trusted again. This is the 2nd time he's got Ragnar's ppl killed under the guise of being allies. Gotta give him props for the cunning plan though. Wiped out all the rats in his court and apparently never planned on having the ppl from the north stay long anyway.

Gotta say though it was ****** up watching how they were even wiping out the children :smh:
 @ the poison assassination of the prince of Mercia and the toast with everybody pouring out their chalices.

 @ Athlestan getting the Prince's wife pregnant and his reaction. Son was so butthurt. Looks like she about to be beheaded next ep.

 @ Ragnar's reaction to Lagertha losing her earldom. I thought he'd lead the troops one time and wipe out these traitors but nah son focused on Paris so above all he wants men for war. Hope this snake dude gets got during the trip. He still Horik's son in his back pocket.

That fight with Bjorn and Rollo was messed up. Son was real hurt. Oh and that chick Bjorn wanted to marry was already average but that axe to the face or w/e got her looking real disfigured.

Then we get to this treacherous ho that is Ragnar's wife. Banging this stranger while Siggy is off drowning.

Also **** Floki and this constant Asgardian talk. I know an atheist couldn't survive in these parts. Son is so jealous it's ridiculous. Son dead *** think he can explain away a dude banging the king's wife as it was Odin. Then **** Odin too. Now it makes sense with these ppl's reasoning when a tramp of a wife says some deity visited her in her bed or talk of virgin birth. Nope, these hos out here spreading their legs cuz their men won't be back for months.

Good ep all in all.

So, did Ragnars two sons die too or just Siggy?

I knew King Echbert was going to play them.
And Lagertha, how is dude just going to take her title and land with no force or an immediate retaliation?

I need to start the Season over and pay more attention:

Siggy saved Ragnar's kids and then the ghost of Habard made her drown or w/e that scene was suppose to mean or maybe she just lost the energy to pull herself up.

They should've showed his kids in this ep to make that clearer though.

What happened to Siggy was just so dumb. That wanderer guy being odin was stupid as well. Didn't like that episode. So what is ecbert going to do when Ragnar comes back and wants to cut off his head. Ragnar is too smart to fall for the bs excuses he'll make and blaming it on the lords he didn't like.

History Channel Renews Vikings for Season 4
By Matt Webb Mitovich / March 26 2015, 9:11 AM PDT

In part because, like, no one would ever have the stones to tell Ragnar and Lagertha to shove off, History has renewed Vikings for a fourth season, it was announced on Thursday.

“Vikings has raided the hearts of both audiences and critics, establishing itself as one of the most compelling, visually stunning dramas on television,” History GM Dirk Hoogstra said in a statement. “We are so proud of our immensely talented cast and crew led by [series creator] Michael Hirst, whose intriguing storylines and pivotal arcs have the perfect balance of scope, smarts and bloodshed to keep our loyal fans watching and wanting more.”

Season-to-date, Vikings is averaging 4.3 million total viewers (with 2 mil landing in the 18-49 sweet spot), in Live+3 ratings — ranking as the No. 1 cable series on Thursday nights.

Damn it's so messed up and sad to see Athlestan die like that.

Son was bugging with all of that born again nonsense. Praying like he can't be killed :smh: **** Floki for that.

 :pimp: @ Bjorn's wife letting him smash Horik's son's wife.

I guess Lagertha just let dude take her Earldom and as usual they do what they do when they got beef with someone; take them off to England to go pillage and then make sure they die over there

I just hope Floki gets his over there. Ragnar lost a real homey :frown: :smh:

King Ecbert is most foul. A real savage. What year is it suppose to be again? Cut off her ears and nose for adultery :smh: :x Then he trying to make Athlestan a saint so it's cool if he smashes your wife. Son has no problem going back to war for maiming that other king he's allied with while plotting on Mercia.

No surprise this series gets another season and is the leader on Thursday nights :smokin

Bruh- I knew Ragnar was going to off Stender, but I thought it'd be at Stenders request, not murder to keep the word from spreading.

That Viking mind was without futility.

Vikings is pleasure man.
What a well told story.
I can't believe the History Channel has done this, with this story.
They really went out on a limb, and killed it.
When recently asked by a friend, "how would you describe The show to get me interested?"

-Masterpiece-
