Never owned or tried on a pair of Vomero. Are they any good? What are they comparable to?
They look okay better than the previous. Not worth $130 they look too basic. Not even flywire and EM on there.

I'd say they're most comparable to the LunarEclipse but more heavier. These look like tennis shoes to me...

After the V5s, I think they've gotten uglier each year. The 3, 4 and 5 were best looking, imho.

i'm a fan of the vomero line, generally. solid running shoes with heel and forefoot zoom. but the 7s in particular had some serious issues--hard phylon & terrible traction. hope this model sees improvements in performance.

Thanks Illy. Yeah they do look like tennis shoes haha. I'll most likely pass. Addicted to Lunarlon. :x

Vomeros are generally underrated. The 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s were fantastic for those who like a really nuetral cushioning shoe (sorta like Air Maxes).

7s were far too hard. I hope these are an improvement on those, but it looks like it has the same midsole so I'm not too optimistic.

The 4 generations before the 7s were well worth the money. Probably more so than any other Nike I have ever bought. They have zoom and I believe these and the 7s have flywire.

Thanks for the info on the 7's, I was about to buy a pair. My 5's are great and are a solid shoe. I hope the 8 are gonna be the same cause i like the look.

I tried the 7 and the pegasus 29+ and liked the pegasus more. The sole seemed to be more responsive with the size zoom bag in the heel. I'm interested in the design of the 8 as to how flexible the toe box is over the 7, but more interested to see how the pegasus 30+ will look. Does anybody know about them?

^ I agree. I was just wondering if nike would try and use a setup like the Jordan 28's sole/midsole with the "unlocked" zoom in a running style seeing that it is track inspired. I think it woul be a great option to the air max line.

Not sure why so much hate for the 7s. I loved running in mine. To each his own. The 6's def had better cushioning though.

I love the Pegasus 29 but these are looking way more attractive than the Pegasus 30. Did Nike give up on flywire or are they just trying to make these look only half okay so people spend more on the flyknit lunar 1?

You answered your own question. These are supposed to be Nike's flagship cushion model and the 3s-6s were; the 7s felt like a 5-year old pair of Pegasuses. Fine for some people, but not for what the Vomero is/was supposed to be.

People complained they were too soft now they're too hard. Ill see what I think about these in person. Haven't enjoyed a vomero since 3.

Yeah I like the design of the 8 over the Pegasus 30, but in not a fan of the sole on the 8. I feel in love with the sole on the Pegasus 29 and was hoping that Nike would have addressed the sole when making the 8. It seems like after a few hard runs and daily walking the sole just "exhausted" and didn't have much life. That was the complete opposite of the Pegasus 29. It always had a "springy" bounce back feeling. I just wish the had the same level of zoom in the fore foot.

just got my 8's. Not bad. A little bit cushier than the 7s. No seams on the inside is nice. Upper feels like the 3s.
