Smh I had the Priority Mail boxes specialized for shoes sent to my crib and that was a complete fail.

How do you guys go about shipping your kicks?

Little piece of scotch tape to prevent the box from opening and slap a label on that thang.

Cheapest shipping possible.

:pimp:

I do what the video does. Really doesn't take that long, especially once you get the hang of it.

Problem is, is that USPS puts "EXPRESS MAIL" AND "PRIORITY MAIL" tags inside all of their boxes these days. At least within the last 3-4 years from what I've noticed. So even if you cut it up and make it perfect for shipping, you still have to pay priority rates. I don't know about you, but the rates went high last month and I ship cheaper than priority now. The average box being sent 8-10 hours (driving) away is roughly $15-17 from what they charge these days. Rates are crazy high.

Trying to make up for cutting those saturday deliveries.

It's pretty sad, actually. Our own government's postal service is cutting Saturday deliveries, jacking up rates, laying off workers. Great opportunities for privately-owned competitors to swoop in and take away the business. DHL, UPS, and FedEx all have a wide open door but I haven't seen them taking advantage of it much.

Tape up the shoe box, done. If someone doesn't spring for the double boxing too bad.
I hate when people do this. But at the same time, I understand it. The rates are crazy. Just build that price for the double box into the shipping. My flat rate for anywhere in the US is now $16, and that's pretty low because I always get people who are in Los Angeles or Seattle for some reason (I'm DC).

Glad it's not me that noticed the price hike, I just shipped some shoes yesterday to CA from FL $18 USPS Priority SMH.

That's funny because I always got people from the East Coast (NY, FL, etc) and I'm in CA.

And video was on point, wish I'd discovered it before purchasing boxes from Uline a few years back that I've yet to use..still cheaper than buying individuals from the office stores though.

I was trying to ship also from dc to ca and it was $18.  Thats when I left and went to fedex.   They were $14 but still pretty high.  can't make much money off of ebay with these prices.  shipping + ebay fees + paypal fees is crazy.   $25-30.
