I started selling again recently. Hadn't sold anything in a couple years.
Recently sold an item that only had 1 bid. It's been 8 days and no contact with buyer.
Can I leave him negative feedback for not paying? If so, can he leave me negative feedback in retaliation?
If so, that's ridiculous and I will just relist..

Looks like you really haven't sold in a while...Sellers are no longer allowed to leave deadbeat bidders negative or neutral feedback.

to be honest, its only sneakers that i have a hard time selling. all the electronics that i've sold on ebay get paid for quickly. i even post in the listing that the payment is due immediately after check out. i honestly think that the non paying bidders/buyers are just kids that are waiting on their part time job checks. then, when they dont have enough money, they dont even bother to contact you because they are afraid. the messed up part is that feebay will still charge you to relist and final value fees every damn time.

Initiate an unpaid item claim through the resolution center to get your fvf back. While you're at it, might as well set up unpaid item assistant.

So as spoke on earlier I always check the feedback to see if its a positive/negative well I didn't it was late I was half sleep so this fool yangyinhe123 has 25 feedback and 16 are positive / negatives. Lol ftl for me I'm just gonna relist before I even go through the npb process but the one time I don't check. Smh

You said exactly what I was thinking. The majority of people buying sneakers is a younger age group and with that is alot of little kids bidding on stuff when they don't have the money or they'll bid on 20 auctions of the same shoe, pay for the one they won for the lowest price and ignore everyone else. Seeing some of the flakes as deadbeats I've dealt with in the buy sell section on here and the horror stories I've read on the Niketalk Facebook page I could see how selling sneakers can be a problem.
I do all my sneaker auctions buy it now immediate payment required because I feel its 50/50 chance I'll get a deadbeat doing a straight up auction selling sneakers.
Other stuff I don't mind doing regular auctions for but when it comes to stuff that young kids, teenagers, and young adults are the main audience into, immediate payment required is the way to go because most 17 year old kids last financial intelligence or responsibility at that age.

Buy It Now for used items, for newer shoes is go with an auction. Ive only had to relist once since the start of the year.

Fair points but with BIN + immediate payment you remove all the hassle of dealing with deadbeats. Something selling for a handfull of dollars less with a BIN > dealing with deadbeats who most likely dont pay you because they quickly realized they could get the same item via a BIN from some other seller for less than their winning bid for your auction.

its really da difference between automatic and manual.
BIN + immediate payment doesn't net you da thirst, because there's no incentive to hunt it, and like homie above said, things
catch digital DUST online on ebay because people think what they ask for = what da product's true worth.
auction setting + 99 cents starting bid + 9 days = a fair or even above market value for your product..however
if there's no market for what you're selling, prepared to deal with da truth.

I posted the split pack Roshes for $89.99 BIN and had to relist twice. Gained a ton of watchers and then the deadbeat clicks the button and doesn't pay. That should've been a quick and easy sale, but no. I've only been doing BIN for the last few months and this is the only shoe I've had to relist due to non paying. Like wtf.

PRETTY MUCH.
I ONLY USE EBAY FOR STUFF WHERE I DON'T REALLY CARE IF IT SELLS OR NOT. THINGS JUST TAKING UP SPACE. HIGH FEES AND DRAMA FROM BUYERS JUST DON'T MAKE IT A VIABLE PLATFORM ANYMORE.
