NFL/NCAA Feet & Gear: '13-'14 Seasons Football Equipment/Cleats/Gloves/Jerseys etc.

Zero23 - I have wide feet so I went .5 a size up on the jordans. Sadly none of the cleats came with a bag.

Langfor5 - I'll let you know how they are next week if my games don't get rained out. I have a pair of the 2.0s as well, a lot more comfortable IMO. The vapor carbons are my gloves of choice

If any of yall have questions about football cleats, gloves, or gear feel free to ask. Chances are I have tried or own them.

Just kidding but I found that interesting because I thought there won´t be no more cws for the CJ81´s.

Would love an all black version or better id´s.

Man i thought i was bad with cleats/gloves. Glad i'm not the only one. Vapor carbons are definitely the best overall gloves out there. Just got some vapor flys in. Haven't tried them yet but I can see why people say they fit weird... but i got small hands/skinny fingers so they actually fit me pretty nice. Here's my latest pickup...

The gold and silver are actually disappointing to me. Not as GOLD or Silver as I expected. More beige and grey. I got a pair of PE cleats a few years back that were much more silver. I wonder why Nike didn't go with that design. Maybe they wanted to keep them exclusive? But maybe not, since there's not much money to be made doing that. Not sure. They were these:

Molded for field turf and nice short grassy fields. Detachable for wet fields, long grass, and patchy dirt fields for me.
I always saw molded as the way to go, if you can afford it. They are lighter, but the cleats will wear out over time. This is accelerated by walking on hard surfaces of course. Detachable is good if you want to just reload the cleat bottoms as they wear out. If you got the money and are worried about performance, molded is the only way to go. That's how almost every NFL/College team treats it. 98% molded cleats in the league.

Yep, molded is the way to go. They are also lighter than detachables. Ross is my best friend $20 for last seasons cleats.

Just played with the jordan dominates today.

Don't think theres any cushioning like a zoom air or anything like that. Still very comfy. Best way to describe them IMO is they feel like the Vapor Jet TDs (old *** cleats like 2k6) but more snug and lighter. Traction is what you expect from a speed td plate. From the game today I would wear these over the vapor talons and is on par with a pair of broken in Carbons. The spat doesn't provide a lot of support but you can feel it. I play flag and mainly play qb, safety, and wr. I can see the spat material getting torn eventually by people stepping on them but that comes with playing football. I didn't feel any discomfort at all during the game didn't feel like I was wearing cleats at all. If the jordan XX8s feel like the cleats i'm going to have to get me a pair.

Didn't need any break in at all. For some reason the tips of my cleats are red and not the electric green. Must have put on an old speed plate.

Cliff notes - Feels like wearing cleated socks

If my game tomorrow doesn't get rained out ill update yall on the CJ81s

Nice review.....Nike Football should go back to putting Zoom in their cleats.

Like only Vapor Carbons have Zoom and its just a thin heel Zoom bag. Too many of their cleats cost too much to have no cushioning in them

That's all you had to say... Will be copping a pair this weekend.

Anyone use Cutters? I know Cutters are pretty big in Canada, I don't know about the states.
They're really good. Stay sticky a long time and feel really good.I have the C-Tack Revolutions and they are the most durable glove I've owned. I like the Nike Vapor Carbon gloves a little better though. They don't last as long but I like the feel of them better.

Like the guy said above Cutters are cool but I prefer Nike gloves though.

I feel like Cutters don't let your hand move as naturally as Nike gloves do

Qft. To me, Nike gloves feel and look better, but cutters perform better and last longer.

If you don't mind pink. Cutters for BCA gives out like 1000 pairs you just have to pay for shipping. I just need UA to re-release the gloves they had back in 2004...

They have the giveaway in August I think. Just go to the website and add to cart when the giveaway goes live.
