Cool how I was able to Google "Oregon Ducks Surplus Sale" and find out exactly what you were talking about. Not sure any other school has such a thing. Good deal for Duck fans I believe.

Thanks for the heads up on the $40 pick-up. Not sure I believe it since I've only seen one pair of these on eBay, but maybe all the people who bought at the sale are holding onto them? Not sure I believe that either, but it is possible. My friend is touting them as being rare, and I believe him since I can't find them anywhere else. I told him about our $40 claim and he laughed in my face. Not sure what to go with now.

if he says they were $40, then they were $40. What many people do is buy stuff from the surplus sale, for great prices, and then resell it at a much higher price.

Surplus sale is real. xbiker is as legit as they come. If you watch ebay after the sale it is flooded with Oregon stuff. I believe the main shoe this year was the grey trainer 1.3. ( Still looking for an 11)

Or lots of schools do and they just don't advertise them. I go to TCU's every year.

quite a few differences, but the easiest way to tell is to look at the size tag by the hem.  elite sizes are a number (40, 44, etc), game and limited use letters (S, M, L, XL).

I was at surplus sale, all footwear was $40. I know they were available because shortly after a reseller at the sale showed me those amongst the 30-40 pairs he bought.

I see. Either way, I can't find another pair in size 11 for less than $300. Actually I can't find another pair anywhere, period. So my friend will get to set his own price. Just up to me if I want to make the deal. Can anyone help me gain some bargaining power by finding another pair for sale somewhere?

I thought they came out before but I couldn't remember... but I actually go to my local store pretty frequently (at least once every couple weeks) and I haven't seen them. Also they just recently put them up on the site so for those who don't have them at their stores or there isn't one near them, thought I would put up the link. They're up on NDC too but Richards has free shipping.
