Yeah, they're about ready to push the 12s out. I'm unfortunately not much of a long distance runner anymore, but I'll tell you what though... these shoes made a huge difference for my knees when I ran long distance before. The Pegasus didn't work out for me after 6 miles in, but the Vomero 11 did. I can attest to the praise for the long distance support this shoe provides.

Ehh, not a fan of the 12's at all. They look like a shoe on clearance at a Big 5. Was expecting a little more than that. Still might get the black/white for distance though.

Time to integrate flyknit to the zoom line I think, no need to limit it to the lunar midsoles only or are they still hoping to limit to the FK Racers so that can keep selling without any actual updates?

I don't mind how the 12s looks though but the new outsole does look softer.

Still my distance running shoes for the year though.

I'm probably no match at the moment, I'm on coral D :lol:

I wanted to go do the Star Wars Light Side coming up in two weeks too but the Rebel Challenge (the 10k & Half Ccombo) sold out quick.

I visited Florida and did the Dark Side last year, and I think the Star Wars presentation was a bit better than Avengers, although I've only been to those 2 weekends.

I haven't been to a Star wars even so i can't compare but I am thinking about going to the Dark Side in Florida then doing the Avengers Half again this year so I can get that Coast to Coast medal.
 
I feel like all the zoom runners are traced from the same shoe especially if you're comparing all in the same black & white colorway.

Maybe it's just me but I swear I won't be able to tell them all apart right away, I kind of have to really look at the details to see which is which :lol:
 
I feel like my Peg 32s have better traction than my 33s.. has anyone else noticed this?

Zoom Elite 8s, Vomero 10 and up, Pegasus 33, LunarEpics, Lunaracer 3s and Flyknit Racers are my favorites to wear on runs and casually.

That's what they're supposed to be, IMO. They're like the "premium" or plusher version of the Peg33. The new outsole on the Vom12s looks resembles the outsoles from the Vom3-5s.

The Odyssey 2s retails for $150? So is it the highest tier zoom runners now because the Vomero held that crown but I believe the Vomero 11s only retailed at $140, no? Is it more plush than Vomeros?

^^Odyssey is more since it's a stability shoe similar to Asics Kayano & Nimbus and Sauconys Triumph & Hurricane

Odyssey is actually pretty cushy for a stability shoe but its not on the plushness level of the Vomero. I own the first Odyssey and it's not as plush to me as my Vomero 4 and that of course is seven models before the current one. I have tried on the current one and can confirm this, I can only imagine now since Nike combined Zoom with Lunarlon in the newest Vomeros how cush it is now.

I go half size up for almost all the Nike runners, peg 33 included.

Peg 33, lunaracer 3/4, lunarepic high, lunartempo2: 9.5
Flyknit racer, waffle, flyknit max, lunarepic low: 9

I feel like you'd probably be fine.

Essentially Dynamic Support is Nike's trademarked name for their stability shoes. Stability shoes typically use a firmer piece of foam along the medial side (where your arch is) of the shoe to control overpronation (when your ankles roll in). Although there is conflicting evidence for its effectiveness in preventing injuries.

Often heavier (be they overweight or just big/tall) runners or those with flat feet find the support helpful. It can also depend on distance. I'm flat-footed and use the Odyssey for long runs, but I'm fine in neutral shoes for sprints.
 
Thanks for the insight. I have wide, flat feet and run in Pegasus and vomeros. May have to pick up a pair of odyssey to compare.

Wide, flat feet I recommend the Asics Kayano. Sure, they're ugly but if you're strictly running who cares. Asics' shoes have a relatively wider toebox compared to Nike which are known to be narrow. The Kayano is also a widely recommended shoe by pediatrists for people with flat feet.
