Nike Air Pegasus ALL NEW MODELS 30, 31, 32 and up

Got my pair of the Zoom Elite 9 in last night and took them out for a quick run this morning. These are a nice upgrade over the 8. They are lighter, faster, and the upper is less bulky than the 8. I'm looking forward to more running in these.

They are more shoe than the Flyknit Racer or Streak 6. I think they fit between the Pegasus 33 and Streak 6.

I guess I was asking since they have the forefoot zoom like the racer. The misole and sole look pretty similar in width and height to the racer. I guess I was just curious on a direct comparison. Might just have to order a pair and try them out!

I'm fan of the Vapor Fly and Zoom Fly. I'm just curious to know where the Zoom is though... It's most likely in the forefoot. :nerd:

If it's just foam then why use the word "zoom" when they know we associate that with the zoombag?

If it truly is just a new foam/rubber compound then there is a chance there might not even be a zoom bag in it?

On the current marathon flat (Zoom Streak), it's in the heel to aid in transition through the gait.

My theory would be that there's some kind of air injection going on, similar to Adidas' Boost foam does with TPU pellets (if it's explained in the video though, I couldn't listen, since I'm at work).

Correct. ZOOMX does NOT have any mentioning of Zoom Air; rather, it is a highly responsive foam that provides a strong energy return. According to someone in the Vaporfly Elite thread and this link on Runners' World article, the foam has the capability to provide up to 85% energy return (http://www.runnersworld.com/running...at-will-break-2-hours-in-the-marathon/slide/2). That foam is the closest answer to the Boost technology by Adidas. The carbon fiber plate is not like a traditional flat plate or shaped like a spike; it is shaped to have your foot feel like you're always in a forward motion, eliminating the idea to lift off from your toes and propel yourself forward.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Will look forward to the initial reviews before purchasing a pair. I like the unique shape of the back end
